that's what p2p networks have done to the scene...everybody thinks that they're l33t by having access to 0-day torrent release sites...
well, it's just pathetic

rating from sample

Video : 7.5 (colorful and quite clear, however it's waaaay too overbright)
Audio : 9 (no problems about it)

you say the movie is dark, so Centropy had to lighten the picture up a little...however, i wonder how telecines of this movie are going to look

anyway, nice svcd ts

I don't see how most of the people can complain this is dark. I mean, it's not perfect compared to a DVD, but the video is good in the few scenes I've watched. You want a dark release, there are many in the CAM releases, you can't say this and get away with it. There is some, but you guys make me feel like it's worse than I've seen. The color is very damn good, if the video is dark, explain the great color? The sound is good and this is a good release, thanks guys, I was concerned there wouldn't be a release this week.

V-8 and it is an 8!
A-8
M-7

Just threw CD1 into the standalone , i feel this was way to dark and coulda used more lighten'n. CD1 as is , is very very dark (Dark Movie) and there is a ton of dark flickering all over the screen. This made it very hard to actually watch the movie during daylight , as on my standalone you see objects moving on the screen but cant really make them out. Crop and Colors seem good. Seemed a bit blocky also on standalone. For best results .. watch this during nighttime hours or you wont be able to fully make out the objects on the screen. Sound , unlike their past TS's sounds pretty damn good. (no hiss or hum)

New Intro - Crappy Song , interlaced video ... but good CGi

Overall , Nice SVCD TS , very watchable , once again nowhere near the Centropy quality we know they can do. No Complaints from me as its, much .. much better then paying to see this in the theaters !

As SVCD TS:
6.5/9/?

Average Release - Poor Movie

video 7 sound 8.5 film watching

methinks ctp need a decent dvcam. Looks like the thing was filmed through a lattice filter, showing massive pixelation on a low level, sort of looks like a video sample that has been encoded one too many times.

Ctp was always the benchmark for the svcd ts scene. However, we have seen what is possible in this format by maven, to a much lesser extent saosin and many other worthy grps.

The big call to arms is Episode 3, lets hope all the groups put out there best work.

"Actually Currently the new DTS audio disks that are being used with Theatres are using a new 500bit+ encryption and are currently uncrackable. This is why lately there has been a shortage of DTS audio Telesyncs for those who follow the movie scene.

As i said currently uncrackable, we'll see how it is in a month or 2 from now from the best programmers in the world.. The scene members themselves."

Think that answers your question Easily googled
Anyway this release
7/8/?

Hmm didnt i say No Complaints from me ? .... Didnt i say better then paying to see it in the theaters ?

Thought so

No Need to flame me Roger , I was honest about the picture, and it seems im not the only person who finds it very dark , grainy and flickery. Isnt this forum to post on the VCDQuality ?

Good release...better than the other cam jobs

V-8 (tad dark but then again the whole movie was dark)
A-9 (no complaints here)
M- 3 (Bad)

Posted by HaLiKuS on 05-13-2005 12:12 AM:

Light years better than the last 2 releases and actually not a bad movie (i feel dirty for vouching for this) but needed a little more brutality. Better than average hollywood slasher horror, but nowhere near say Haute Tension.
It would of been a bitch to cam this dark a movie much better.

7/8/7

There is flickering in the pix, but it ain´t so
bad. If you actually can stand watching the movie, you can´t be that picky
Sound is ok.

Wins vote for darkest movie of the year, even an experienced cammer like Cent found it hard but pulled it off better than any one else could.

You should MAYBE try to go watch the actual movie into theater, ( as i did ) and maybe, and i said MAYBE your brain will be smart enough to see that you don't even see much more.
As for being a DARK movie, the DV will make some sorta noise or grain depending of the camera brand the caper used wich can cuz some sorta blockynest on mpeg2 encoding. Those would give the reason, as if its TOO dark on your TV i would HIGHLY sugest to adjust brightnest on it or maybe change tv cuz your tube might be defective.

As for the intro, just to prove that you are such a noob, this intro is an old ctp intro from an old raid, its actualy called INTRO_RAID.MPG and its was from the time CTP rls VCDs !
If you like to bash others groups because you love SAOSiN its your choice, but you could try to make it less obvious so we can take a brake of your none sence stupid posts. First of all, so much for rule 3 eh Neversoft..heh..
Second of all, the intro was not done back when Centropy rlsed VCD’s.
Granted its not new what so ever but its not quite that old. At the time when Centropy was rlsing VCD's no one but TDi that I can think of tried to throw CGis like that at the front of rlses. Better tell your brother he’s lyin to yah..heh
Would like to see Centropy’s CGi though that they made after the old Commador 64 start up screen. Thoes use to crack me up.
Third off, The rls itself if very dark period. No way in hell it deserves a 7 for video.
Sound on the other hand is direct and crisp.
Props though to Centropy for sticking with things this long. Keep racing.
And Roger, Lay off the coffee brother and take a deep breath..its all going to be ok...heh

I've seen ctp stuff for years and ive never seen this intro before. whatever, its funny stuff.

As for the movie. not the greatest quality. and it SEEMS to have a bit of bad AR? (ronud 5:30-6:00 on the first CD, his head looks...squished)

Overall pretty good. its free and i cant complain, any movie with paris hilton is GUARENTEED to suck ass, so im not paying to see this. long live vcd piracy!

- horton

7 (good..but not great. its dark, not really CTP's fault tho.)
9 (Direct but not DTS. im spoilt, what can i say)
x (but probably a -1!)

watchin the first CD now!
