Hello ? are you people blind?

ONE WORD: CROPPED.

I have NEVER seen CTP crop this much EVER

I Am disappointed. it does not need to be cropped this much. A good 35-40% of the picture is missing!

6/8/-3 (Will Farrell is going downhill)

Very happy to see another release this week. Thank you guys, sometimes I wish I could offer something to the groups for their effort, oh well. The video looks nice and I really like how the colors and clear video is coming around in most releases. Last year there was very dusty looking releases. I do notice a slight hum, but I didn't hear it on all the systems I tried. I don't care though and just happy to heck it's not a cam audio. Thanks again guys.

Very nice, it's good to see centropy so active again. Picture is the typical great quality for centropy, I thought the sound was good. There is a hiss but it's hardly noticable imo.
I'm a sucker for a Will Farrel movie.

this is the first ts ive grabbed in awhile, anyways its ok quality not that great. its the french source judging by the opening scenes and video quality is good enough. audio on the other hand isn't that great. direct yes, but i don't know how to describe it, flat i guess, i dont know, not much bass, and a little bit of a hum/buzz. overall alright release.

Nice to see a very high quality release of this out. One of the better telesyncs as of late.

The muffled hum and some high contrast suck a bit, but overall nice release. Nice colours and all too as its a "daytime" movie (no dark scenes).
7/7/5 Don't expect Frank the Tank or Ron Burgandy...

Did CTP choose this scene for sample purposly to cover up the hum? I'm not sure until i have a proper look at the release, maybe me just being cynical but there is a hum all the same.

If you can download the sample, then u can probably download one of the rars. Therefore leech one of the rars, rename to .mpg and u can see ur own selected sample. Answer solved.

Accusing me of judging the sample like a stupid noob?

Instances where its VERY obvious that its WAY overcropped:

[TAKEN FROM CD1]

0:09:20 - Half the chicks head is cut off.

0:19:34 - Cut off just above his eyes

And to prove im not lying, View said samples:

0:09:20 =

0:19:34 =

http://img289.echo.cx/img289/728/19348tp.jpg

Yep. i sure judged from the sample

Learn to shut the fuck up and know what your saying before you speak, and NEVER accuse others (who you dont know) about judging from anything. look at the shots you fucking self! (noob! )

NOTE: This thread is meant for the idiot who said its not overcropped and that im a hater!

Posted by HeartOfStone on 05-18-2005 01:12 AM:

Still doesn't seemed cropped, or "overcropped". I could be a fucking moron though.

What exactly is wrong with the AR on the sample pic, or the facts its 768x576, What would u use?

Horton, looking through this, i think it was shot this way, this was filmed for Super 35mm, so the Cinema and WS DVD willl be cropped badly anyway.

8/6/4

Video is good and more than adequate, sound is iffy and sounds distorted at times, and i dont like Will Ferrel movies

Very Very Nice for CTP. I am usually not a CTP fan, but they have been releasing nice stuffs as always.

isn't ar supose to be 720x576 ?

i mean, svcd is 480x576 and the player <-- piture --> it to dvd size wich is 720x576, tell me if i'm mistaking, but 768x576 is comming from what ? like 48 pixel too wide, make it look wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide
:P

Posted by HeartOfStone on 05-18-2005 02:52 AM:

Do groups ever capture the whole screen? I think that I've seen it done in a couple of releases but not many. But wouldn't that make the picture very, very small?

Hmm...that could explain it actually. Just looked to me like it was *really* cropped - when it comes down to cropping just above the eyes, i call it overcropped :P but hey..you could be right. might explain it actually - i flicked through CD2 and it doesnt seem as apparent there, and they probably didnt change angles, so maybe it is shot this way

Posted by virtualpal on 05-18-2005 05:06 AM:

its a very good picture, there are a few issues with cropping and I detected a lot of motion blur, but its way better than most.
Centropy just delivers the goods nothing more nothing less, theyve done 3 this week, maybe getting in some practice for SW3??
