audio is as good as visa
video is slightly better

offcourse great job of TUN

i remember the days everybody was pissing on TUN when they started. they should be scenebanned and all that crap. I really admire the way TUN prooved them wrong by delivering one great tc after the nother

i pick this one cause i aint sure what scenes were lost in the workprints

much appreciated TUN for this early release of this much awaited movie. great quality here. so, grab this one and lets stop bickering about this movie. enough has been said about the last 4 releases of it.

Once again Many thanks TUN

hmm, looks pretty good. compared to the other release, like many have said, timer vs slight degradation in quality. id take this release over the workprint. i'd rather lose a little bit of quality then see a timer, that would get annoying.

awesome release.

Personally I liked the workprint with the blurred out timer better, but that's just me (I'm not a fan of TC) But I will say TUN did a real nice job encoding and releasing this so quick; good job and a stellar release for all those TC fans. One thing I didn't like was the fact that it's 3 CD's!!, nonetheless; awesome release.

I'm just DVD spoiled

Good release. It's much clearer and less pixelated than the workprint. However, it's really really dark which is a shame. The opening scroll is in Russian which is amusing

Sound is perfect.

Can't wait for the DVD-R

cd2 and c3 are out of sync as movie goes on it gets worse and worse I hope they repack it

Posted by Madmax on 05-23-2005 12:37 AM:

Just came back from the theater, glad i didnt spoil it all watching all of visa's, saw the first 1/2 hour and stopped it.
If Visa's source was left alone would of been the cat's ass!!
Sample seems like said before lil red and dark, havent tested on a tv yet, nice no more counters!!! great job nonetheless.

fairly dark, but the timecode is removed so that makes the slightly blurred TC an improvement in my books.

Just a note, i happened to have lucked into seeing this flick in the theatre opening night, and i can't say the workprint is missing any scenes.

I can't say for 100% because there was so much going on some minor scenes might have slipped thru, but as far as i can tell it wasn;t missing anything.

This realease is the one i'd recomend for now.

Hmmm TeleCine.. It didn't look much better than the POT SVCD in quality - in fact the POT-version is much less distorded in the video, even it's just a re-encode of the WP. Can't tell anything comparing sounds - haven't seen disc 3 of the POT-version, but I have watched the MoBsTeR-version, and I didn't have any audio-synch problems there on my standalone.

Bad TeleCine - could have been much better, but what the heck - I said I would give huge props to the first PROPER TS, and here is a TC, so the Greets go to The Underground Network..

Wonder if the TC-machine they used have been a "home-made" one..Seen TC's that have been SO much better..

Video: 6
Audio: 7
Movie: 10 - for the first Cinema-version.

ok i dont think my last post went through(i think its cause i dont have more then 10 posts) but anyways i just wanted to comment on how most of the recent movies contained blocks in them.....im sure you guys can all see this, how come nobody comments on this?.....plus how does a good quality video wind up containing these?....and how can you rate the movies that have blockyness in it higher then a 7 or 8?.....its really one of the most annoying things ever....id rather it be a little grainy then contain blocks

*unleashed had them also, and a whole bunch of others i recently checked out*

i hope this one gets through....thanks to this site for being so thorough

Nice job TUN! The video is a little dark and the reds/oranges do seem to bleed a little, but all in all a nice release. I wouldn't say the colors are better than some of the other releases (because of the bleeding) but still very nice.

The audio is spot on. As for the movie, I seen it at the theaters at the midnight showing, great movie.

And is that Russian at the beginning? Looks weird.

watched the sample
a tad dark, but sharp picture, audio is herd well, a tad distant
this is to be expected from a TC
this is a high quality tc svcd release
excellent tun
