what about you fucking morons see how dark it is at the theater MAYBE before bitching, ass holes.

Better than Riderz release, but not spectacular. As mentioned, this looks too dark, and colors are somewhat faded/dull. Sound is definitely an approvement over Riderz which I couldn't even make out. Appreciate the release, the best out so far.

7/8/?

after reading these posts, and seeing the sample, i didnt quite understand what they meant by dark.

ive flicked through all cd's now - it is quite, quite dark. see sample pic i made up from all 3 cd's (2 shots from each, in no particular order..)

Click Me

As you acn see in alot of the pics its very, very hard to see who the people are - i guess its not unwatchable, i mean, its free, but i think this is the way it was filmed that was the problem - not CTP's fault. same thing with house of wax, but that was a very dark movie, too. Audios fine as usual, no buzz i heard

7.5 - Only because i cant see it...
9.0 - perfect, i mean it aint dts but its better then nothing.
X.X - dunno yet didnt watch it all

Posted by hdtv00 on 06-18-2005 09:04 AM:

Very dark, unwatchable to me. Total crap because Im not blind I like to actually be able to see the movie. Anyone not admitting this is WAY to dark is nothing but an centropy ass kisser. I mean thanks for the past but this doesnt excuse crap like this.

Just got done watching it...

CTP Thank you for keeping your sh!t going... Good job on this one, I for some reason knew you wouldnt let this one just breeze on by...

Video 8 (for a TS) - is dark and a little pixelated... Im guessing the movie is a little colorless cause this is... Very watchable though...

Sound 6 - has a slight hum as mentioned... Not noticable on my tv very easily...

Movie 7 : I enjoyed it...

I have to say that its a good release, in the beggining it is a little dark but after the first 10 minutes, and a couple of parts later on its pretty fine

7/9/7

Good Job CTP

v 2.0
a 8.0
m ??

if anyone reads this far into comments

in my humble opinion
this is too dark... to the point its useless
after looking at comments here,above
i figured this was worth a dl
i was wrong, i burned the 1st CD and watched, you can't even see their faces in half the scenes

i appreciate the effort put into this site,,
but the quality ratings are unreliable
some posts say this is a great release,
very few say its too dark
take my word for it, it's unwatchable

Centropy ass kiss list...who should also have voting rights taken away....

Fedor Sumkin 10 10 9
vaiopc2345 9 8 8
AcclaimedCritic 10 8 9
deano21 9 10 8
OCGN 9 8 9

Yeah this is a 9/10 quality release...NOT. You all should be killed. After watching the entire movie now. Only good thing is you can see all the boxing parts fairly well. But anything having to do with the heart of the movie, better have night vision googles.

Same here to dark for me and I tied watching it on a tv.

Posted by T2U on 06-18-2005 09:53 PM:

The dark scenes are just that dark ..the fighting and outdoor scenes are good however..the sound is decent..the movie outstanding.....7/8/9

Posted by sheki on 06-19-2005 02:01 AM:

It's way too dark for my tastes. And trying to raise gamma or brightness doesn't help, it only reveals white horizontal lines. Sure, the outdoor scenes are ok, if you can sit through the dark scenes in between. :P

Waste of a d/l.

P.S Roger is a jackass.

Does anyone find it ironic when someone bitchs about other peoples so called bitching and then calls them names trying to prove there point.

For those stating that the movie is TOO dark, try watching more than a few minutes of the movie? At first, and just about any scene involving indoors at the protagonist's home (where its very dark and lit by candles), yes, it is dark. Aside from those scenes (and maybe a few others) - about 10 total minutes of 140 - it is quite easily watchable and fine. You do not lose anything in the dark scenes, as they are indoors and usually just a conversation between Zellwegger and Crowe.

V - 8
A - 8
M - 9

Great story, great movie, great acting. Crowe put on another great performance. Giamatti had a great showing as well. I really got into this movie in some scenes - caught myself cheering ole Jim on. heh. Definitely one to add to the DVD collection.

As said, this movie is dark in some low-lit (candle-lit) scenes (again, 10 mins max and not that important of scenes), but if you can get past those few scenes, its a great movie. I noticed some skipping on CD2, but that have been my laptop overheating. There was also a man with glasses who showed up at the bottom left from time to time, but he blended in with shadows from the movie quite nicely.

Posted by PlasmaWhore on 06-19-2005 07:50 AM:

Based on the reviews here I thought the darkness would be annoying but not too much of a problem. I watched the first 20 minutes tonight, and it was so dark it was impossible to keep watching. I tried turning up the brightness on my DVD player and TV, and it didn't help at all. If it were brighter I would give the video a 9, but as it is:

3(crisp but so dark it is unwatchable)/8/??I wish I could watch it, it isn't in the theater here.

Centropy, Saosin and Tun ROCK BIG TIME. All I can say is THANK YOU.

Nobody else is in, or even close, or int the same ball league You guys or gals or in. The only Telesyncs or Telecines worth watching are the ones released by you 3.

Every other group is a waste of bandwith. Everybody rating these 3 group's releases should be gratefule and appreciative, instead of ignorant.

Let's give Props and Thanks when it is well deserved. Without these 3 groups every other download is a BIG waste of time.

Let's grow up and rate accordingly.

Thank you VCD Quality, Centropy, Tun and Saosin!!!!
