well done RIDERz

7/5/8

the camera is hella shaky but granted it is a cam... really pixelated... colors washed out... the sound is hollow and as mentioned before you have a laugh track... cropped on left side and at an angle unless the shaking stops...

for a cam overall

edit: just finished it. Camera is shaky throughout the entire movie and on cd 1 at about 40 minutes the audio goes out of sync until the end... still very watchable... also it seems that there a a few seconds missing from atleast 3-4 scenes... it just kind ohf jumps to the end... will definately go to the theater to see this... overall this cam is watchable

just finished watchin this, and for a cam, it was pretty good.

the laughing is barely noticable, as the movie's audio comes thru pretty clear. i understood every line.

there did seem to be a few parts durning the movie that looks like it was edited. at around 17-18 minutes, it suddenly jumps to the end of a scene where all the guys are shaving. other than that, there are a few shaky parts during the film, with some cameraman coughs.

this isnt an action movie, so perfect colours isnt as necessary. all in all, for a comedy, this is a pretty good release.

Based on sample 7/6/?. I'll skip this one and watch this movie in theatres. Probably too good of a movie to just watch at home.

For a Cam this ones not to shabby

Just My Two Cents...

Short and sweet and remember, these are ratings compared to other Cams.

Audio - 8 - The Audio on this is very nice. Not the greatest i've heard as it's not direct but still, very nice RIDERz. Props to whoever did this for the audio. Why an 8 instead of a 10 then? 1 point is for it NOT being direct audio and 1 point for all the laughing. I know, it's a comedy but i've seen some comedys (wedding crashers) where the laughing wasn't as prevelant.

Video - 7 - Nice picture but for christs sake sit still when you're camming and also, please, stop with the auto adjust AR or whatever crap is going on. I'd rather see a little bit of the curtain or whatever at the top then to see the black bar's growing and shrinking like it's alive or something. This seems to be going on in a lot of releases lately and I'm sorry to see that. So, again, the picture is great but points are deducted due to the constant movement pretty much of the person filming and the black bars.

Movie - 9 - This year has been the year of the comedy. It's a great year when you can say "The last movie I saw this funny was" and you name a movie that was released not too long ago. (Btw, i'm referring to Wedding Crashers). This movie looked funny in the commercials and was just absolutely HILARIOUS in true form. Rarely see that in a comedy. See this movie. Dont like cams? Go to the theater. It's worth every 200 dollars you'll spend.

Also, props to RIDERz for the release. This will tide ya over until a Retail DVD comes out folks so grab this one.

Good Job. 8/8/8 some minor scenes missing? like 3 instances of couple seconds <20secs

Posted by FrogDawg on 08-23-2005 02:12 PM:

nice release, pic is good and audio, heh, a tad hollow and a soundtrack for a sitcom, u ignore the laughter after a while, aside from that more than watchable and a funny movie, if u can't wait grab it now

based on the full release

7/6/7

Excellent release for a CAM. You can hear the audience laugh many times throughout cd1. The laughter does die down however .

The audio is more than clear enough to be able to hear everything. The video is watchable, not the greatest but watchable without issue.

The movie is fuckin' funny. Given his stupid look on the billboards, I figured this was going to be a movie about an idiot who doesn't get it and doesn't get "sex" for lack of effort. It actually a movie that is genuinely funny, and doesn't rely on the "make-you-laugh-because-it's-so-dumb" genre. Worth a watch if you avoided it.

Having seen in the theater over the weekend, I can 100% confirm that there are parts missing from this release. Starting with the entire opening scene before he's exercising. Also there are at least 3-4 times throughout the movie that scenes are cut, not only the shaving scene that others have mentioned but also a scene in the electronics store when he first meets Trish. Their entire conversation about the DVD/VCR combo unit is cut...probably about 15-30 seconds.

So...rating what's there and accepting the cuts...

V - 7 (Not bad on a standalone and TV)
A - 7 (Audience laughter, but clear sound)
M - 9

You must be insane...until retail DVD you say? It's MPEG-1 VCD...got multiple scenes missing and audible audience noise throughout. It's very watchable but it's not a TC or anything that should be burned and kept until retail.

4/6/5

Video: Take a While for the camera man to get adjusted in the begining, pixelated, and dark.

Audio: laughter and hallow

Movie: Descent

Posted by Frisky on 08-24-2005 12:58 AM:

V: 7 - The camera man moves constantly, but that's not very noticable. The picture is clear (I saw the movie at the theater and I still think this quality is very watchable). Overall, if you don't mind some moving and flickering, you will be more than satisfied with the video quality!

A: 8 - Large audience parcipitaion (laughs, coughs), but I heard every word easily. If it wasn't for the laughs/coughs, this would have been one of the best sounds for a cam! Great job on this one

M: 8.5 - Very unique and funny as hell (therefore lots of laughs), highly recommended!

Video cropped both sides, opening credits cut off a bit. Noticable jumps in a few scenes, but nothing missing as to plot and laughs. Big laugh track throughout the first CD. Otherwise the sound was good for a cam. Twat factor minimal, only a few times did someone run up the aisle. Best comedy out right now. Makes a good date flick(my lady enjoyed it, even with the crude humor), or a night out with the boys.

Finally got around to watching this one.

7
7
8

Fairly cropped, with the occasional camera movement, but it isn't too bad

Sound is good for a cam, the audience does laugh throughout, but as stated in other posts, it's not bothersome, much like watching a TV sitcom

Nitpickers will want to avoid.

Comedy fans will enjoy. Very funny, would expect nothing less from Steve

Props to Riderz, good job on a much needed film

6/5/9 my god I loved it, One more beer and i would have voted it up for the academy awards.

Posted by trenty on 08-27-2005 01:24 PM:

not a bad release. colours arent too good and the shaking and the persons head in the lower left hand corner is annoying.
overall a goodrelease... very watchable.

id say v-7.5,a-6-m-9

For a CAM, this was pretty decent. Liked this even better than Wedding Crashers (didn't think I'd be saying that). Funny as hell and I think I'll see it in the theaters.

Based on CAM:

Video: 7 -- Cropped, pixelated and shaky. Typical CAM, but definately watchable

Audio: 7 -- Thought I was watchin 70's sitcom for a while with the "laugh track". Was kinda distracting, but not so as to prevent you from hearing the dialogue.

Movie: 9 -- Funniest movie out there. I though Wedding Crashers was the funniest till this one. Excellent!!
