wtf how can you guys rate the video so highly? there are some very weird artifacts going on in it - moiré perhaps... it looks like heat shimmers, around the edges of some objects. Very annoying.
like at around 19 minute mark, the young guys red sweater looks like it's swarming with ants or something because of it.
6/8/6
Video - 8 - Fine for a DVD Screener, better than could have hoped for
Does look a little grainy (not sure that's an accurate description though as it actually look's appropriate for the style of movie) but didn't distract from the movie
Audio - 8 - No problem's with popping or clicking like other's had, and level's seemed fine to me
Would have been nice to have DD5.1 but for such an early release of this overall quality can't complain
Movie - 9 - Wasn't expecting to enjoy this but it kick's ass!
Very moody and engrossing, though those bit's with 'mom' did my head in lol
just realised i never commented on this release i got it like the day it came out
v 10 (as a dvdscr its perfect, no markings etc and 2CD!!)
a 10 (not mp3 so 10)
m ? (dunno looks good but not had time to watch)

encoding software is the equivalent of The 404 going on a diet and walking thru the door. takes longer and sometimes more skill, but ultimately worth it.
Audio way to hot for me
Video:7
Audio:3
Movie:9
Decoding AC3 using Nero's AC3 decoding = popping
Decoding AC3 using MPlayer builtin = no popping
Haven't tried decoding using the AC3Filter yet, or FFDShow [EDIT]celtic_druid 's build of FFDShow works fine (http://www.aziendeassociate.it/cd.asp?dir=/ffdshow)[/EDIT].
When XBMC (Xbox Media Center) plays it there's some audio distortion too. [EDIT] err.. that was due to, too high of an amplification. Even at 10 db I was getting distortion though, and that's default. Set to 0 db and there is definitely no distortion left [/EDIT]
If I were to have a guess I'd say Nero's decoder doesn't like 256 kb/s AC3.
My rating:
Video = 7 (pretty good really)
Audio = 6 (can't give 256 kb/s AC3 a 10 that' for sure. Retail DVD will be 448 kb/s)
Movie = 7 (Wahlberg depicts himself, haha)
