Yesterday NBC aired a great 4 minute scene from King Kong. The scene featured Naomi Watts and the big guy himself on Skull Island. Take a look for yourself! The scene has little in the way of spoilers...unless you count an Ann/Kong 'quiet moment' scene a spoiler! (50.5MB AVI File)

This means that the sample of ORP King Kong is a fake.

yeah, they made a mistake in the nfo and that was the nfo rlsed. I suppose the dvd-scr could be out with all the other oscars popping up lately

I watched the whole rls and the video was very nice, audio was allright (no syncing issues), but I miss DTS as always

That’s a pretty big exaggeration. There might be a bit cut off the bottom but this rls is pretty well cropped.

The movie is so heavily cropped the reel changes are cut off the top.

first of all, you can clearly see that the text has been edited in to the picture. second, "this copy property..." is kinda crazy. and third, mega companies doesn't permit people to "loan" stuff that costs 200 million dollars. fake fake fake.

well, something is off here. i don't know what it is, but the imdb says this movie is in 2.35. the screenshot you showed from the trailer, after cropping the black bars, shows the ar is approx. 1.77. when i watched this movie in theaters, it was in 2.35.

i won't make any speculation, but these are the facts.

I think things are getting a lil too technical here now

iMDB is often wrong, i'm not saying it is now but the fact is, much of the screen is missing regardless of ratio.

When you get the DVDr i'm sure you will see this for yourself in comparison.

The important thing is (like lorddusty said) this version is eminently watchable and by far the best to date.

Sometimes i think we expect a lil too much from our 'free views'

Well if that's what it was shown in theatres as than that’s the source of this print. My guess is they filmed it in super35 so all the extra shit from that site’s trailer wasn't on the print to begin with (hence my reasoning that it's cropped just fine)
