Still Have To Watch It...

Been kinda wanting to see this because of all the hype, although no one else in the family wants to. I guess there is so much of it on TV anymore, that I have just become desensitized to it. Gay just Doesnt bother me anymore.

The best one was on the news today. B. Williams and C. Knight, aka Greg and Peter Brady are to star on an episode of That 70s Show in April, as a gay couple, and there is a kiss..

The commentator was jokingly calling it Brokeback Bradys.... lol...

Maybe all should watch this movie with an open mind....

Is this movie gay?

(User was banned for this post : :rolleyes )

Posted by hellspawn32287 on 01-20-2006 04:12 AM:

The film itself is not gay, even though the two main characters in the film are. This film is just a love story that happens to involve two gay men. I myself havnt watched it yet but hope to soon as its has been one of the most critically acclaimed movie in theaters atm, and no, I myself am not gay/bi, just a movie lover.

Havn't seen this release so I can't comment on the quality.

Posted by vannasty on 01-20-2006 05:22 AM:

this movie is fruit loop city, why such a high quality release for a homo movie, id rather have Hostel or Munich? Anyway my wife went to see it and said she was totally grossed out so I started to watch it and turned it off once it started getting all gay. Now if your into queers and steers you will digg it, the only reason it getting rave reviews is because 75% of Hollywood is a bunch of fudge-packers and/or liberals. Now as a heterosexual I dislike homosexuals not because i am insecure in my sexuality but because I can not comprehend how the funk any guy could willingly wanna even touch another guyz wang, its just not right and just unnatural.

8/8/blah

9/9/6.5

Didnt like the movie much.

Gotta love screeners though

Posted by -=GQ=- on 01-20-2006 06:38 AM:

9/9/?

I don't think I'll enjoy this when the wife finally forces me to watch it with her; not because I'm homophobic...exactly the opposite in fact.

From what I understand, this movie is about an adulterous affair between 2 people that simply cannot be together. Now replace the 2 gay men with a heterosexual man and woman in the same situation and what have you got...some dime a dozen story we've all seen several times over.

If you don't find it shocking in the year 2006 that not everyone is straight, what does this film really have to offer?

EDIT:

9/9/6

After watching it, I ended up feeling exactly like I thought I would about it. Pretty predictable and boring. Nothing much interesting at all in this film. I guess it's all about shock value for people who are shocked by homosexuality.

Great screener 9/9/? watch it later

nvadr the movie is only on a limited number of screens, but STILL made it into the top ten (where it has stayed since its release), that means that this movie makes more money per screen than the number one movies these past few months.

All this fuss because they like to tell people what they can and can't do in their own homes.

one of the best quality screeners all year 9/9/8 exceptional

Video = 9
Audio = 9
Movie = 5

Excellent release, picture and sound are fine, only a 5 rating for me im afraid, the acting was fine the direction was fine too, but i have to admit i like a western to be a western !! killing indians, robbing banks, gunfights etc.... call me homophobic but i simply couldnt get to grips with this and the reason for that is ... it is about 2 gay cowboys, nothing more nothing less, and that simply doesnt do it for me.

Whatever Happened to Freedom of Speech

Whilst I agree some of the comments regarding this film are immature and childish, banning people for expressing a point of view is also just as immature and childish.

Freedom Of Speech rules otherwise we live in a dictatorship state.

9/9/10

-=GQ=-,

The movie is more than that actually. It is more than just the adulterous part. They meet before either is married, and they fall in love before either is married. The can't stay with each other because it is something that society will not allow them to do. They are trapped, so they marry women, but they still harbor a love for each other. The movie is not about two adulterous guys, its about two guys who desperately love each other but can't be together. Also, no matter what any of the homophobes here say, this is probably one of the best love stories I've seen. Just because it is two guys, doesn't change the fact that it's a story about love, and an amazing one at that.

Awsome release !!

9/9/?? - Looking forward to this and Capote tonight!

/me waits patiently for Munich , Match Point, & The New World

Talking I went to go see this movie last night

The title should be called "Fudge pack mountain". I WAS IN THE BACK OF THE THEATRE getting a dirty sanchez and realized how good the movie really was. I live in pleasantville and they had the directors cut version... It was raw. Saddle up partner...

"Movie - A couple of colon cowboys just popping off their guns in the middle of the night."

Do you think that there were gay indians or how about cavemen??

very good rip. probably 2 or 3 times text scrolls across the bottom, but really not so bad. far less occurrences than other screeners.

movie was pretty good. drawn into a whirlwind of emotion on this one. i'm sure folks wouldn't be whining if it were 2 cowgirls going at it. regardless, this movie is basically all about passion, regardless of gender.

heath ledger was certainly superb, but jake gyllenhaal wasn't as convincing later in the film.

enjoy!

Thumbs down

I am not interested in queer movies nor in anything that encourages Hollywood to make any more.
