watched last nite at local theatre amazing movie as for this release just not much quality here

V for VCDQuality

Quality is very low, clearly a rush to be first without thought to doing it right, seems to be another typical release from Saga, I don't recall ever seeing a quality release from them.

Congrats on being first, but the quality sucks too much to watch the release, so in the end what was acomplished with this Saga release?

Being the first one to provide crap, might mean you are fast but it still stinks

I grabbed the sample it for a cam it is poor.

Video - 4 (Poor Res and Blurry as hell.)
Audio - 4 (Sounds like it was recorded under the theater.)
Movie - 9

Forget this release and grab the 720p Telecine that is starting to float around. It is absolutely breathtaking.

all i can say is it should be nuked for bad AR.... props on speedy release, but pull ur heads out of ur ass and spend sometime encoding!

Wait... there's video?

Wow. Just... wow. I mean it's great and all that you guys got a release out so damn quick, but that's... erm... not really what I'd call watchable.

Video - 3: You can see things when people hold still, but that's about the only time you can see anything. It's dark, which is not surprising for a cam; however, the encoding of the source video was, well, odd, leaving these weird pixel blocks of darker and lighter regions of the screen, which change about randomly. Mix the already dark video and you have something that's just plain impossible to watch during motion, even without the blurry picture and questionable framerate. At this point I can't really tell if it was recorded on something with a low framerate like a cameraphone or low-budget digicam, or if it was just recorded on an NTSC camera (23.976 fps) and the jerkiness is simply due to a crappy 23.976fps -> 25fps framerate conversion job. (e.g. by using TMPGEnc's built in conversion method, which does nothing more than duplicate frames) The bottom line is that for a movie like this where the action is important this release doesn't even do an adequate job of giving us something watchable. Wait for someone else to release it.

Audio - 7: Standard cam audio, not much better or worse than other cams out there. No annoying hums, pops, clicks or other weird noises you hear on some other releases. Conversations are understandable, but still somewhat distorted. Audio isn't too hollow or anything. Probably the best one can reasonably expect from a cam.

Movie - ?: I literally couldn't understand what the hell was going on because the video was so hard to interpret. I stopped it about 30 seconds into the first fight sequence.


Bottom line: Wait for a better release. Don't even try to watch this one, unless you're blind and only really need to hear movies.

Movie: 9 (Went on opening night, fucking GREAT!)

Thanks for all the warnings.
I looked at only the 3 random rars I downloaded. 2 were so dark all I could see was V's mask amd whatever other face was in the screen (I think Natalie P)
the other was in a white hallway that wavered and shimmered like through smoke and water..

Sound was typical cam - hollow mono, but a little louder, so it was listenable. But not being blind, this wasn't viable. Not going to waste my bandwidth, will wait for better.

downloaded all of this watched about 3 mins extremely dark sound was not very good
10/10 for speed of release
video 2 very very dark
sound 4 bit muffled
movie 9 official trailer looked good
think i will wait for a better copy

well all i can say is thanks for the flick saga

just encoded through adobe and looks miles better now

i think peeps should try and learn how to clean the movies

as a crap source can b recoded fine and its the guys like these

groups that keep us all happy so ....respect where its due!

and at the end of the day if u dont like anybodys release

go out and do it ya self lol....or just shut up and go watch at the

flicks...

Release sucks, don't waste time- I won't repeat what others have already said otherwise.

HOWEVER- saw it in theaers, REALLY good movie! go spend the 8 bucks, its worth it
