Has anyone ever thought that all tv's and home theatre systems are not created equal. and neither are the cables that you hook them up with. This is why you get such a variation in sound and audio quality. There is a reason why a 30 in regular tv cost a hell of alot less than a 30 in plasma/lcd/ hdtv. So stop complaining and debating on who is right and who is wrong on movie quality, you all are. For those who find the quality is aliitle worse on there tv verses the quality on someone elses system, well upgrade sometimes something as little as a s-cable can make all the difference in the world. And for those of you who have tv's so old that you need a converter box just to hook your dvd player up, well you are just shit out of luck, and will always get a lesser quality picture and sound. just a little knowledge from someone who knows

You must know a lot buddy. Given that a film looks and sounds infintely better on my 32" bog standard widescreen with just dual channel that my friends 40" plus tv with surround where it looks pixellated to hell and the sound obviously goes crazy. Stop talking crap and actually think about what you are saying. You dont need an expensive system to play ANY SVCD Cam or TS release and get as good a picture as you are going to get.
Not bad but seen better as for the release

CHILL OUT

WHY IN THE HELL IS EVERYONE PUTTING WORDS INTO MY MOUTH. I NEVER ONCE SAID ANYTHING ABOUT A MORE EXPENSIVE TV. I SAID QUALITY. JUST BECAUSE SOMETHING COST MORE DOESNT NECESSARILY MEAN IT IS BETTER QUALITY. WHAT IT MEANS IS THAT YOU PAID MORE FOR THE BRAND NAME. NOW I ALSO DIDNT SAY TO COMPARE A 19 IN. PICTURE TUBE TV WITH A 60 IN. PLASMA. WHAT I SAID IS I HAVE 5 TV'S RANGING IN SIZE FROM 20 IN TO 42 INCHES. 2 OLDER AND 3 NEWER. I GET MUCH BETTER PICTURE AND SOUND PLAYING SVCD, DVIX, MPEG AVI FORMATTED FILMS ON MY 3 NEWER TV'S WHICH HAVE ALL THE APPROPRIATE AUDIO AND VIDEO CABLE HOOK-UPS INCORPORATED INTO THE TV'S THAN I GET ON MY OLDER TV'S WHICH NEED CONVERTER BOXES IN ORDER TO EVEN CONNECT A DVD OR THEATER SYSTEM. THAT WAS ALL I SAID. WHICH GAVE REASON TO WHY SO MANY PEOPLE HAD DIFFERENT OPINONS ON THE QUALITY OF THIS PARTICULAR MOVIE. I AM NOT TRYING TO ARGUE WITH ANY ONE

the video is only zoomed in for the first 3 minutes.

for the audio, you need to play with the equalizer to mute out the rumbling noises.

oh, and the movie sucked ass. 5/10

Posted by stillsick on 03-26-2006 03:00 AM:

It's only the first 6:45 that's zoomed and cropped.

Watchable first release, good enough if you HAVE TO see it right now.

All of you guys complaining about it being too blue? If you'd actually already seen the film, you'd realize it was made in kind of a bluish tint. Dunno why, but it was.

Posted by Scotster on 03-26-2006 08:43 AM:

When you guys quote your ratings do you realise you are quoting a cam? Have any of you ever given a CAM 10 for video or audio? Whats the highest rating you have ever given? A 7 maybe? If thats the case then the 7 in relation to top scores is a 10 and everything below that drops a grade. I see a lot of you writing 5 out of 10 for a cam etc but this is wayyyyyyyy better than most cams that come onto VCDquality. The audio also aint bad at all. Now accross the board this movie would probably get a 5/10 for video and 4/10 for audio but for a cam its good for at least an 8/10 for vid and 7/10 for audio.

If your going to use ratings (and moan a lot about them) at least have half a clue about what you are actually doing.

people are using different rating systems. some rate them based on cams, and some rate like you. been a problem for a while.

the only things i dislike on releases is when its blurry or pixelated

for some reason, i really like more or less all the non-reencoded svcd cams. just as long as it isnt pixelated or blurry then thats all im worried about. plus i hate overfiltered sound

v 7 (nice cam, little grainy, but that gives it a nice look imo, little washed out but that doesnt bother me)

a 5.5-6 (very average for a cam)

m ? (if i knew more about it, i might get the full release)

thanks WUF

encoding software is the equivalent of The 404 going on a diet and walking thru the door. takes longer and sometimes more skill, but ultimately worth it.

Gotta love people with an opinion and like to argue it on the internet. Noone cares what anyone else thinks on internet forums. This site is for rating movies, not pushing your opinions on people. Just rate the f'ing movie and keep your opinions to yourself. Flame me if you will but don't expect a response.

7/7/? - Decent CAM, very watchable if your not a picky jackass.

Back to rating the movie - what do you expect from a cam?
Watchable, but not perfect. Cropped at first, not a good angle. Hand over camera twice during early part, then a head covering lower left for a couple of minutes...
Sound leaves a lot to be desired. Music drowns out dialog often, have to keep adjusting sound to hear Denzel...
Good movie, I'll have to see it again when the DVD comes out.
