-- United 93 *INTERNAL* *SVCD* - TELESYNC - BELiEVERS (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=70259)

Posted by skatersss7 on 05-20-2006 07:58 PM:

um, as far as i know, i have a dvd scr of united 93... i've yet to watch the whole thing, but i watched the first 4 minutes before posting to make sure and the title was united 93. it began with the terrorists reading on a bed, so if anyone can verify thats how the movie begins, then there is def a dvdscr of it out

Posted by ramraider on 05-20-2006 08:09 PM:

as if this is a telesync, who's pisser are u trying to pull, its too good, no tilt, no flicker, decent sound although there is sound missing from the end of disc 3 @ 31mins 30 secs i think this is a crap encode of a tc or dvd screener, all in all though its pretty watchable although the video is a bit jumpy dodgy frame rate i think.

V - 7
A - 7
M - havent watched it all yet, looks good

Posted by mrchalk on 05-20-2006 09:24 PM:

So is this a dvd rip of United 93 the big screen version???

Posted by Twisted Nerve on 05-20-2006 09:37 PM:

howdy

does seem a little of a 'framerate' issue, least thats what I can best describe it as, not off-putting at all tho, the 'shakiness' someone mentioned earlier is due to the fact the movie itself was shot with handheld cameras to add that realism look, and personally I think this looks like a screener copy, due to perfect steadiness of capture, and end titles etc., just not the best quality screener

audio is fine, nice to hear a real direct audio rather than the filtered Cam bollux groups have been stating were direct lately, tho does have no audio from 31:27 on cd3 which is a bit of a downer to say the least! but having said that, it does make the end have more impact, for want of a better expression.

movie itself, well its one of those u cant rate really, due to subject matter, but does it well

hmm, i'm getting is right now. seems a tad small though. strange how i've seen 2 non-scenegroup releases of this movie.

did check the sample on thi one and i gotta hand it to BELiEVERS, they had a great source

Posted by dxception on 05-20-2006 10:25 PM:

how can the rating be that high for the video. The bitrate is screwed which makes the motion very choppy
5/9/7

He's right. There is a DVD rip of "United 93" (the new one in theatres now). It's just a little hard to find.

Posted by K-FurY on 05-20-2006 10:55 PM:

framerate is kinda screwy but if you can ignore that it is a really nice copy.

7/9/x

Posted by ForTheBlind on 05-21-2006 12:08 AM:

Are you people totally retarded? How in the hell can you rate the video 7.3 when the release totally blows. It's choppy as hell, unwatchable, unless all of you fags are blind.

Just another shit release from a shit group.

This deserves nothing more than a negative rating, and since the video is screwed, who gives a shit about the rest?

How unfortunate it is to see that only morons use this site.

2/7/?

OK. After "trying" to watch this, I had to stop. The picture is so shakey I feel like IM on a Great Adventure ride. Forget it. Dont bother. Wait for a watchable release.

Posted by Iammyself on 05-21-2006 06:44 AM:

hmm... i seem to smell BT in this rls... first was a kvcd (of course this has frame rate problems) then to supposed DVDscr that ive seen, but seems to be suffering the effects of KVCD frame rate, and a TS and probly the best label for a rls like this but it has its frame rate problems itself.... my conclusion is its all the same... but the source would be fantastic if encoded right... that didnt happen... and will not happen.

NOW I see a SCR from Hustle, the damn same, but a bit clearer than others, but still choppy,

Video is fantastic besides the frame rate

7/9/? THIS MEANS ALL SCR, DVDSCR, TS whatever you label this

Posted by pjfan0281 on 05-21-2006 07:01 AM:

there are some problems with this release. as mentioned the framerate seems to be off. not sure how it affects the movies, but it did effect playback on my pc. seemed to freeze a few seconds before playing, etc.

i also tried to convert to dvd, and cd2 and cd3 were rejected by tmpgenc. cd1 loaded fine. so i had to run cd2 and cd3 through mpeg-vcr to get new svcd files, which were then accepted by tmpgenc. maybe it has to do with those framerate issues? or maybe its a svcd header error. i dunno.

rls itself

v- 7.0, some jitters
a - 7.5

Posted by Iammyself on 05-21-2006 07:39 AM:

exactly as above... not a scene rls, but tagged one by a no name group, heh this is going around everywhere as everything... its a DVD or TC source, detail is too fine, even with the KVCD encoding im suspicious that was used

::as watching this whole flick in DVDscr disguise, WHY AND HOW can you screw up a source like this? this cannot be VHS, dvdscr maybe right, but f*ck the encoding is fu*ked, just to be repitious with f*ck.

Posted by ThugETH on 05-21-2006 10:35 AM:

Watched this last night was very good cept for the notable frame rate issue... its really not that bad you get used to it after a few minutes.

At the very end of CD3 the sound vanishes altogether... at first I thought the group had done it to make sure it didn't go over 3CDs in length... but now I'm wondering if it supposed to go totally silent to portray the horror before the finale???

8/8/9
Would have gave pic a 9 if it wasn't for the slight juddering through out the movie.

Posted by Air1 on 05-22-2006 06:58 AM:

i was confused, too.

this is actually the 3rd movie adaptation (if not 4th or 5th) of the story of what happened on that flight.

last summer, give or take a couple months, another movie entitled "United 93" which was made for tv was aired. i honestly cannot remember the channel it was on at all, but i remember seeing a couple commercials for it so i TiVo'ed and watched it last year, like i said - possibly 12 months ago.

***** EDIT: my memory may be fried because i am starting to think it may have been in the fall or winter i saw it, nonetheless i still think this isn't the same one, obviously, because it's a theater release. also, i know the dvdrip from A&E isn't the one i saw because the director approached it differently, Todd Beamer was wearing a hockey jersey and a backwards cap in the one i saw a long time ago, and i still think it may have been on Discovery HD *****

for some reason my mind wants to remember it being on Discovery HD but another part of me says that it was a TNT or A&E-made flick instead.

***** EDIT: That DVDRip is an A&E version so the other TV version i saw was definately not by them, and although not on IMDB, i don't think, i'm still 99% certain it was in 2005 that i TiVo'ed it *****

at any rate, that was the very first movie-adaptation. in that version, at least, that i saw, i remember the person who played Todd Beamer, was wearing a hockey jersey.

of course, i saw the dvdr of the "flight 93" that was just rls'ed last week and honestly, i don't think it was as good at all. it was too over-dramatic (how can i call a movie like this too dramatic? - i ask myself the same question but i did find it that way).

so this movie comes along, actually goes to the theaters, huh? looks decent but nothing to write home about in terms of quality.

unless this is the same version that i TiVo'ed at home a long time ago last year, then this is at least the 3rd movie adaptation of this same true story, so i honestly have no will to watch it as it's getting old. i wish multiple directors made their own versions of movies i love, or true stories at that as well. seems hollywood just can't keep their greedy hands off making money from this film when they had to have known other versions had been made which is rather pathetic if you ask me.

first tv version i saw (also called "United 93" i'm almost 100% sure):
video: 10
audio: 10
movie: 8.25

"Flight 93" STV from TV that just rls'ed last week or so:
video: 10
audio: 10
movie: 7.5

this version of "United 93" judging by a sampling:
video: 5
audio: 7.5
movie: n/a
