i guess its mislabeld but its still the best rls out there if it aint nuked on ur sites download it its a good movie and quality aint bad really watchable....not sure if its a workprint tho -=D

C'mon! These guys risk a lot of shit and spend a lot of time doing stuff for us, just so we can watch this movie. Even if its a poorly encoded version of the movie, we should give them props for trying (as long as they'renot credit whores :P )

umm its nuked for not being a scr but its from the same source as tcf's mr.deeds and a few others they rlsed...like mike..its the same screener as that but some people dont think its a scr so plz stfu if u dont know.

Just watched the Sample, the video quality is very bad for a screener, I have seen many telesyncs and even some cams with better video quality than this. Very blurry, and becomes blocky in fast action parts, I personally think this is not watchable and will not be downloading it. It gets a 3/7/? from me.

RaPpA, fyi genius... you CAN add a frame counter and/or timer to pretty much any video format.

ok, fuck that there is a timer or promotion shit...no one cares...it happens, and its free. lets review the release itself...sound, good, like a 7, video, not screener worthy at all, like a 5, movie itself is ok, give it a 7 as well. best version of what is available no doubt, screener worthy ? nah, for the good sound, should be telecine labeled, the pic is just not good...been nuked on already 4 sites of mine, and the number is growing, mainly cause of the bad picture quality and the timer...like i said the timer doesnt bother me, i have seen worse screeners, but the picture is definitely not the best, hopefully they will proper this Avenging Angelo style, and find a real screener tape...hehe or maybe a real encoder, oh well, for the folks who want to save the 9 bucks on an ok film, this is the release you get, the other ones were terrible...

Ok, this is totally OT and not aimed at this release/group specifically, rather its a generalisation.

In all honesty i don't understand how/why they mislabel in the first place. I mean sure, there are times when the group will have no idea what it is themselfs and make a judgement call and label to the standard of quality it is. But many times i see a release mislabeled, generally TC or WP being mislabled as SCR or CAM being called TS. What does it achieve to mislabel, nothing. Half the population will pick up on it and know its mislabeled, so the only thing it does is lowers group respect.

IMO, anything that the nukers see as blatently mislabeled(with no explanation) should be nuked regardless. Don't let it through just because the quality is good or whateva, if it gets properly nuked at the top, all the group has to do is relabel and FXP it again. (obviously that is a littke more work than it would seem, but then maybe they'd get the idea and not knowingly do it)

Well enough rablings, im sure 99% of the boards don't give a rats ass about mislabeled release, inproperly named propers or internals that are just labled internal so they don't get nuked for dupe/bad quality etc but the increase in all of the above lately shits me so bleh.

Actually im in the middle of watching it now..it is a scr cuz it says property of bla bla bla...but ALSO THEY didnt put in there NFO that it goes black/white during wen it says property of bla bla bla..Just thought some of u might wanna know cuz ppl complained during THCiso's rls of spiderman....And OM3N, who in the world WOULD ADD A TIME Counter...Just plane stupid and why would they waste time doing it,

I think certain movies bring out the dregs in this forum, and even some of our favorite contributors have sunk to the occasion. Only RAPPA, bts and Wowsa made any sense. This is a screener, obviously, whatever your feelings about the encoding work.

But I must consider both arguments. Hmmm.

A) VideoCD got ahold of a screener, or
B) VideoCD decided to re-encode its own work, laborously add a counter to the rip, magically improve the picture and sound quality, and release it FALSELY to the public, thereby trashing their reps beyond repair.... all because.... um what was their reason again??

That said, re-encoders are welcome to get rid of that f**king counter and replace it with a black bar. It's centered, and it's showtime-accurate, both of which are more distracting than the usual counters.

Damn, VideoCD-- first Avenging Angelo and now this. Who'd have thunk it? MANY THANKS from the corner of the room.

RaPpA, i agree it would be stupid. Point was that you insulted somebody else for thinking it was not a screener and used the argument that the counter would not be there if it wasn't.

I'll stop waisting everybody's time with my OT posts now.

RaPpA's jpgs make this release look very nice. Can only hope that the motion blur and pixelation in the posted jpg' don't reflact how the release looks whilst playing

Whoa I was scared to D/L this after the 6.0 reviews and all these post. Finally got my hands on the sample and this thing rocks. Definetely a screener and even a decent encode. Without the bar would be nice but with it I don't mind. Getting this now and should be watching it in an hour. Man VideoCD rock on guys. I hope TCF gets their hands on this screener and can find a way to remove the bar and the black&white logo. But for now I can deal with both those issues for a GOOD release of xXx. Sorry to sound so excited but I have been waiting for a watchable version of this movie. Only had to wait 2 weeks past release for a decent screener. Keep it up guys.

i jsut got finished watching it....Ok..for my reviews..The source is a screener tape..but the source is direct from the reel so its more of telecine quality...A better encode is wats needed...it was a lil pixelated but idk my mom was fucking w/ the settings cuz i bought a bourne identity silver and it was a pos so she played w/ the settings so then i had to play w. them and w/ contrast at 0, the pixels r very low...so overral its the BEST release out and should be the only 1 out until a REAL screener or a dvdrip.

Nice review rappa. That sounds much more informative then the semi-flame post that were going around. Quality is pretty decent. Doesn't look too pixelated on my tv. I wont be downloading another release unless its a proper/reencode or a TCF screener.
