No.

Video nice for a cam, nothing maVeniss though.
Audio not direct imo.

Posted by CATBOX on 07-04-2006 10:27 PM:

Definitely NOT direct sound. Video is dark, with motion blur, and pixilation. It is definitely undersized for a 2 hour 34 minute movie, but its watchable. Its the best release so far, but like many of you, i'm waiting to pounce on a Maven release like a pack of wild dogs!

Movie was great. It won't appease those of you who just want to see special effects the entire time. The effects are asounding, but there is also a lot of story, and character development. Great stuff.

V - 7 Motin blue, and some dark scenes are just absolute black.
A - 4 ( rated as a TS, but it wouldn't be bad for the CAM that it is )
M - 9

just asking but is anyone else missing the the plane rescue part ? mine cut straight to a daily planet scene as superman flew past the trail of smoke.

Posted by bmvtoys on 07-05-2006 01:02 AM:

seriously people..if anyone watched this you would realize its missing alot more than 30 seconds..

3 video - crap, stutters, blurry, just plain ass. Pray for something better serously.

4 audio - not a TS, so dont even think it is, the cammer clears his throat constantly.

8 movie - saw it at the theatre, was worth the price, still, its definately not better than the first 2.

> 20-30 SEC MISSING DUE TO A READ ERROR ON DISC

Another Silver recode special, then?

V: 4 - Bad pixelation... mentioned previously.
A: 4 - Obviously a Cam source. BAH!
M: 8 - Liked it. Will watch it again on big screen.

Meh

v - I'll give this a 6, because it was better then what was available yet the missing portions of the movie annoyed the hell out of me. Beside that, this is a cam, abit slightly better then the other cams released. For that, It deserves a 6.

a - A 5 - this was NOT direct sound, as anyone else can profess. It was tolerable, however, and it deserves a score to reflect that.

m - An 8, as I really loved it myself. It wasn't amazing, but it did what it was supposed to do: stoke the nostalgia of anybody who wanted to grow up as superman. I liked it. I'll might even go see it in theaters.

All in all, I really wish there will be a telecine coming out for this baby; I really want to see the special effects [which are superb; thats obvious even with a 6ish video score] with the best quality possible.

V: 6 - Nothing special but we have a lot of better cam vids
A: 3 - For a TS, wich is not.
M: Will wait for a better quality or theater or both...

Posted by djob on 07-05-2006 04:20 AM:

Video picture qaulity 6/10
audio is cam but in sync 6/10
Movie 10/10 very good storyline (but hey i am a superman fan)

Not really worth the download unless you fancy missing the 2 most important scenes in the film but if you desperate its the best if not wait for maVen

Posted by Ash85 on 07-05-2006 04:45 AM:

Watched the whole thing. At least two major chunks missing. 20 secs my ass, more like 5-10 mins. This is a CAM, not a TS in my book.

v:6 - Pixelation, slight flickering, very dark.
a:4 - Definately not direct: Very tinny and people coughing and laughting. Hence, not a TS.
m:7 - Not too bad, but i'm still waiting for a FULL rls.

Posted by fiftysix420 on 07-05-2006 04:55 AM:

4 - Video is way to choppy to even watch...

3 - not TS def. CAM

??? - Im waiting to go see it in the theater...

Dont know about missing scenes, but it wouldnt suprise me...

it also does not fit on 1 disk??? I mean if you encode it to "almost" 1 disk, might as well bring up the quality to 2 disks or bigger for dvdr...

but these days who cares...

thanks for the release CaMFX!
