I downloaded the sample, the aspect ratio seemed odd, and so I posted my concerns on here requesting confirmation.

I have nothing to gain from accusing diamond of releasing shit, I simply want to download the best available release. and determining which is the best available release is the entire purpose of this site, no?

Beautiful release, good color, crispness, brightness and audio.. I just hate when the AR is snaller than 16:9

Posted by betelgeus on 07-08-2006 10:08 PM:

ok i'de better review the release before i get called faggot by a mod

9/9/?

the firsts few posts had me worried, could diamond(the most trusted group around possibly mislabel a release?).i should not have worried usual top quality, guess they just posted to be first?.

not really overcropped best quality, diamond produce the best to fit on one cd.

incidentally 2cds are for ac3 so if you dont need ac3 no need for 2cds.

also if you watch film on a widescreen tv connected to dvd via scart it automatically scales it to anamorphic so the bars are half the size.if you have 4:3 just press zoom couple of times on remote till it fits.

The movie was better than I expected.

Why do diamond always use the codec that gives
DivX503b1393p

It doesnt work in many players!

If it also bothers you, please post this message on new dmd release threads and maybe they'll see it and change!?

But appreciate the release still all the same

Use MPEG4Modifier and check the "unpack" box for packed bitstream, save the file and it'll work on your standalone

9/9/3 what a waste of film

Posted by traumatek on 07-11-2006 01:49 PM:

Thanks xxNightflyerxx, thats what I do. Its just a pain.

Posted by kawasabi on 07-11-2006 07:47 PM:

depends on the players chip, MTK chips do eat the packed bitstream so if you have one no nee to unpack.
just replace the DivX503b1393p with DivX999b000p.
