just got finished watching the whole release..

v: 9.5 - dvd quality nothing wrong with the AR
a: 7.5 - its a little hollow, but no sinc issues
m: i thought it was entertaining..

edit: @beosmr._x: stop flaiming the thread--5/15 posts is too much, and stop calling people newbs when you've only been here for a few months. watch the release, n00b.

Very nice release... maVen's was already very good and I tought there won't be anything better until the DVDRiP, looks like I was wrong!

V: 9 - A real pleasure
A: 7 - Could have been better but still it's enjoyable with some equalizer tweaking.
M: 5 - Ep. 1 and specially 2 were much better!

Couldnt have said it any better myself except i gave the movie a 7.5. Great action , terrible liberties with the Xmen's fate. However, the final secs of the film after the credits have no audio, but the ending pic still beats what was previously availble only in PHONE cam lmfao!! Good to see ASTEROiDS preing again, now if they could just get a better audio guy the sky would be the limit. Im always impressed when they do the True Telecines right. Great Job ASTEROiDS

As a TC:

9/6/8

there is NOTHING wrong with the AR. Don't know why Beos is saying it's way off. And sync issues?? WTF...other than the audio is HEAVY on the bass it's in sync....Damn dude you got spyware or malware n crap. Clean your system out before you give your review of the next rls.

Posted by dragon26 on 08-10-2006 11:10 AM:

i was very suprised to hear that people are haviong synch isues, becuase ive just gone through the whole movie and looked very closley ...to have NO issues what so ever.

the mkovie is great, the audio in my opion is actually the same to mavens although you do need to turn the volume right up on my system to hear it, and the audio does cut out 1 minute from the end ..

and where did the video at the end go to? does the video only come on some cinema screens becuase i found this very weird that on mavnes realese that the video was near the end but had a good 2 minutes to show, yet nothing on here.

the video on this is near spot on.

oh by the way what the hell is the ar issue and thevcdq member showing a pic of pkard in his uniform what the hell does that prove ffs? if anyone shows bad ar issues then at least give an example and prove it.

a- 6 due to lose at end and had to turn volume up
m-8
v- 8 not bad at all

Posted by dontbegay on 08-10-2006 11:36 AM:

wtg asteroids !

video - 8.5 (a few compression artifacts but not bad at all)

audio - nearly a 7 (altho its clear, its lacking top end and is also very bassy)

cant say anything about sync issues as i have only watched the sample.

Nice TC very nice indeed.
The sound is not that good, doubt its direct.

V 9

A 7

M 8

I dont know what you mean when you say the end is missing sound, if have sound when the text is rolling, and it is in synch for me all the way.

I just listen to the sound through earphones, and it sound like its drivein audio, heavely filtered with, Adobe audition, cause the audioman is trying to remove static noise and has to mutch gain, and it makes a digital noise, everytime the static noise is removed.

I can see a thing here, first: The fast and the... second: X-men 3..
Third:?? Superman, pirates, mission imp3...

Looks like we still need TC's MAVEN, especially a TC from ASTEROIDS!!

v: 9
a: 7
m:?? watching this copy

Posted by Redemption1980 on 08-10-2006 07:48 PM:

Great copy, near DVD quality video.

Audio on the other hand is quite poor.

Might grab the DVDR as that is even better looking, and see if i can sync it with the Audio from Adywans XviD, that was clearer, and it was stereo, and upmixed well to 5.1.

9/6/?

That is quite possibly the funniest and stupidist thing I have ever seen posted.

v/9.5 Fancastic TC, crisp, clear and utterly watchable. maVens was good but...

a/7 Heavy filters, heavy low end, muddled dialog in some spots. But watchable compared to maVens awful sound sync issues whick kept me from watching that release.

m/4 Putting a new director on the third in a well established series, bad mistake. Story was chopped to hell, character development was laughable, returning characters seemed like different ppl. lol. Just shows what kind of influence a bad director can have on a good series.

Thumbs up

this has flawless picture quality for a telecine but as already said about the audio letting it down.still, definately worth watching.

No way this is a TC from the video source...

no cigarette burns anywhere in there to show that it's from a film reel

Excellent video
Audio..... a bit rough but in synch
Movie - OK(ish)

Is this release really needed, it's kind of dated at this point. It's been out for 3 months, so I'm betting Da Vinci Code will be the next telecine. Props to Asteroids, at least it wasn't AlGore's crappy film.

A-7.5

Da Vinci Code telecine was already done months ago, so NOT much chance of that one being done again

Yeah I know, I'm mainly refering to how we've had a flood of the same releases as of late. Do we really need 5 Telecines or DVDrips of Poseidon is just one example. I wasn't serious, I was mocking the release of another repeat release. You cost me bcool2k, now it doesn't seem as funny...darn the luck.

Posted by Diggler on 08-11-2006 12:58 AM:

V 10 (I really don't care about the nitpicking of the video. In my eyes it was as close to DVD as you will ever get.)

A 6 (Though the voices were very clear, even during the loud scenes, the warbling effect was just downright annoying)

M 9 (I presonally felt this is the best of the bunch and I did really enjoy the other 2)

How embarrasing. This whole time I've been rating MAVEN's TC instead of ASTEROiDS. Sorry everyone for the mix up. Moderators please move my posts to the MAVEN TC of this thread.
