this isnt cam audio isnt the best direct but isnt cam you people dont know what your talkin about
v-8/a-5/m-?(Havent Finished Watching yet)
The audio is GREAT direct audio when you fix it!
I've seen this problem before, you just need to open the audio file with audacity or some other program and invert one of the channels. then it sounds nice and clear with the bass and stuff intact.
but of course you have to also use a program like virtual dub to put the fixed audio back into the .avi file.
V: 8
A: 10 (when fixed)
how do you do that?
I personally think this is direct audio, besides at around 2:26 you hear something like a cough...
but it could be line noise. which is heard alot the 1st 3 minutes, and then randomly throughout...
To think anyone would filter cam audio and then take the time to lower the volume and up it at random parts seems crazy... It sounds more like a bad fm signal or kinda like when a vhs tape gets a bit stretched and it causes spikes, or even a protected dvd running through a vhs that has macrovision protection... ill bet on FM wasnt tuned in right...
Seems like something was cut, 1ce at the 3-5 min mark and maybe something around 10-15 towards the end
the movie only had spanish subs (some added after the recording) but the pic is great, i didnt find the movie that great, but some parts are halarious, it was short, its could be better, if the english subs significantly add to the experience...
7.5/5/7
CAM audio, Direct Audio whatever. Another release of this should not have been done till the English forced Subs we're sorted.
Just mho, tell me to quack off.lol, but this release is for naught without ENG forced subs.
Rate this?? The same bloody Spanish source as the last .
Do you have a trouble with retardation? My sister show her Virgin....High 5
This would be half watchable if someone could make some englidh subs instead of the hardcoded spanish ones. Any offers to make some ?

V=6.0, -> for this docu-style movie it's good enough
A=3.5, sound horrible -> can't almost make something out of it.
M=?, hoping for a copy with better audio, so I can laugh.
Bottomline: I thinks it's a CAM with the audience sound filtered out.
<<< This should be nuked for incomplete, it skips a part in the beginning>>
quote:You have to separate the left/right channels in Audacity, then select one of the channels, go to Effects->Invert. However, there's not a lot of point to this; inevitably when you have this sort of audio inversion it means that both channels are the same mono track, only one is inverted. (I think this is some sort of movie theater anti-piracy effort; works out great, huh? :P) You'll get a same-sounding result by using a custom channel mapping to play back the movie in, say, Media Player Classic. Just go to Options, select "Audio Switchers" on the left, then click "enable custom channel mapping. Pick check the Front Left and Front Right boxes under Channel 1 and uncheck the same boxes under Channel 2. Just remember to disable "custom channel mapping" after you're done with the movie.

I do see a link in the nfo to a subs-site. Are we to fix this ourselves too?
the lack of english subs takes quite a bit away from the film.
v - 7 Not great, but perfectly watchable
a - 4 Ugh. Even if it IS direct, that doesn't change the fact that it's so muffled that you often have to strain to make out what's being said
m - 9 hi-la-ri-ous. In the theater. Without proper subs.... 6.5

English subtitles for Borat.TS.XViD-DiNATY (only when they are not speaking english. thanks to fredpeeps on revolutiontt)
download the .srt file then open VLC click file >> open file.
for the "open:" field click browse, locate the .avi file
click the checkbox "use a subtitles file" so its enabled
browse and locate the .srt file.
then press ok and it should play the movie with the subtitles.
btw, the audio also sounds like nice direct audio if you click audio >> audio device >> mono.
[b]Link changed to the ones mrtourture posted so people don't download the other one

Thanks, dug123! These are infinitely useful.
However, the subtitles look like a translation from Spanish to English and are quit shit in a couple places, like in the Running of the Jew. So, I've taken the liberty to fix them...

This is a direct transcription of the official movie subtitles, taken from the R.T.C. cam release. Enjoy!
Thanks guys i was just about to try to translate them myself

Makes sense. Thanks again for posting them -- the timings and such were very very useful. I just figured that since I had a version with the official subtitles, I might as well give'em a quick fix. =]
