It has the warnings, and all to go with it.....

Your wrong Jc100 , very wrong, this is a bit more pixelated than the XviD, but that is quite common, encoding to XviD softens the picture making it less obvious.

But this is way sharper, with better colour, and a nice 5.1 Soundtrack, which is no Upmix, though it is a very low bitrate.

Also nothing is clipped out, this has the video and the sound during the corrupt scene that was in the XviD, its not just been cut out, i tryed that with the XviD, its far too obvious.
Also there was another mild bit of corruption on Mason's Managers face a couple of seconds later, this was on the XviD, but is not in this, so thats all the proof you need.

So how about you re-rate the release then.

As a Screener
8/9/8
Movie was great, best Rocky movie since the second one

viewed with windvd 6.
v/ 8
a/ 9
movie/ 8.5
was a great last rocky film,
the fight did seem a lttle rushed,
but hey its rocky its more than just the one fight.

there is a slight skip @the 46 odd mark, but its not major and doesent ruin anything.

He has been a member for 4 and a half years, so id say, hes not just registered, lol.

I agree with him though, but not as harshly as its obvious you have some mental problems if your looking forward to The Transformers movie over a Rocky one

The reason people will react bad to this,is that its a low budget movie that is personal to Stallone apposed to a big budget kids popcorn movie like Transformers which is very cold.

Ok... Lets see, first off, Im not sure why anyone would think a 2.12 gig DVDSCR would be an original copy... with that said, the recode saved me time of doing it myself, Moms always loved stallone, so it'll make a great addition to the presents I got her...

The pic is good.. so's the audio, couldnt ask for much more off a dvdscr, maybe a lil more sharpness?

9/9/?

::so this may not be a recode, I just dont see 2.12 gigs as the original size::

As for the movie, I just finished it, and WOW, I did not expect it to be this good, the first 45 mins was a great dramatic lead in to the last half, and it ends somewhat as expected, but as it should have...

9/9/9

Posted by dug123 on 12-24-2006 09:25 PM:

This is NOT a Xvid to dvd re-encode.
this is the source used to get the xvid. compare the xvid and dvd and you will notice that the dvd has higher quality video.
not to mention the 5.1 audio on this dvd-r.....

Posted by sirghost on 12-24-2006 10:40 PM:

If this is a re-encode of the xvid, then explain how the dvdr has 5.1 audio and the xvid does not...size of this dvdr does not necessarily tell you that it is an xvid re-encode.

as for this release...

video=8
audio= 9 <dts audio would of made it a 10, though on a dvd scr i didnt expect dts>
movie= 8 not as good as the first 2, about as good as 3 and 4, and definitly better then 5.

Video is no where near a 8 or 9
These guys are noobs for encoding to fit half a dvd ..it could of been a perfect release if they would of filled the dvd and got rid of the blockyness

7 for the blocky copy
10 perfect 5.1
9 awsome final rocky

Posted by Riddleb0x on 12-25-2006 02:18 AM:

What an awesome release!!!!!
V:9
A:9
M:Its your typical rocky Either you like Rockey or you don't. If ya do its not bad
thanx for this awesome release and to all of you who like to bitch about stealing and shit who cares if ya dont like it dotn watch it or STFU please.

Posted by ol_perfesser on 12-25-2006 04:25 PM:

Bitch, bitch, bitch...
what the hell do you want for free...

Here's a nice DVD screener, good quality video (a screener, not a final retail DVD), 5.1 audio, and a Rocky movie (most likely the final one of them all...) for those who love them.

9/9/6

(Sorry, but it was a very predictable story. Maybe Stallone has it out of his system now.)

Why's this release half the size of a normal DVDR?

Was it taken from an 8cm disc or something?

Posted by oqwarrior on 12-28-2006 01:20 AM:

I don't know why they didn't choose to fill up an entire DVD, but this is still an excellent release that will tide me over until I purchase the retail DVD.

Video seems a bit blocky at times (I guess that's what happens when you compress it to only 2gb). Audio is very nice -- who could complain about 5.1 surround sound 1 week after the movie's release? Movie was excellent, as expected.

8/9/9

can some1 plz tell me what happened at: 01:26:44 ?? the movie just went straight to a different scene :-s

Posted by B1NG0 on 01-02-2007 05:49 PM:

What an awful lot of bitching & moaning in this thread.
Oh well, here goes with my 2 cents,

Rated as a screener:

V 8 not bad for just over 2 gb!
A 8
M 5
pointless sequel, just another cash in from stallone. At least Rocky 5 had a half decent story - which made it an 'ok' movie. This movie is an embarssment to the series & a big disappointment for us Rocky fans.
Some say, "best rocky yet", I have to disagree..

Will he make Rocky 7?
I hope not
