The quality isn't the best for a DVD Screener, but is still excellent (after checking it on my computer) for having just came out.

7/? (Didn't have my speakers turned up)/?

Edit: 7/10/? (Viewing on my DVD player)

Video is cropped, I'm not sure how much...

Video: Slight blur and non-sharp picture quality, but overall it's a good quality screener. No "Property of .." banners, or B/W screens.

Audio: AC3 5.1 channel!

Movie: Interesting and engrossing, sometimes shocking. It had the right amount of message to it, without constantly beating you over the head with it. Leonardo DiCaprio and Djimon Hounsou are both Oscar-worthy in their roles. Jennifer Connelly was looking hot as usual, and played her part well.

USE SVCD2DVD WORKS PERFECTLY FOR DOING .AVI TO DVD

Converted to DVD and it both looked and sounded superb.
Di Caprio looks lean and fit in this film for a change.
Video is excellent and the audio,5.1 is tops too especially as there are alot of action scenes.
Has a slight glitch at one point but only for a second.
Picture is clean bar a few warnings at the bottom of the screen every so often, very small and unintrusive though.

seriously this is not good, i take back my previous ratings and give this a 1 all around.
anyone else have luck transcoding htis to dvd? if so what program do you use, cause nero wont work.

I used ConvertXtoDVD for disk 1, disk 2 worked fine in nero for me.

i demuxed the video/audio with VirtualDub, then ran the audio through AC3Fix, there was a small sync error which is repaired fine. Then I encoded the video with CinemaCraft Encoder and DGPulldown. Then I remuxed the new video/audio back together and authored with TMPGEnc DVD Author. Checked it on my standalone and it works fine.

Quality looks good and it plays on my PC as far as I can tell. Wonder if I somehow got a bad copy.

I seem to be having the same problem as you, is there a fix out?

Thanks

no b&w scenes has a security line that comes up every 20mins i would say for about a minute. not even noticible... half of it is cut anyways..

this is an overall not bad release. i too noticed the glitch about half way through the first disc but it wasnt bad enough to stop watching. MAD PROPS to NEPTuNE for this GREAT release. there is a small "Property Of" thing that pops up at the bottom of the screen every so often but its barely noticeable at all. thanks again NEPTuNE for this nice release and keep up the good work.

re_encode

i encoded this to dvd, with vso divx to dvd. had no problems, vso finds errors if they are not to big and eliminates the bad sections for seemless play, you can usually never tell the difference because the frames that are dropped are to few to notice.
