After checking the release out, its like another trip down memory lane.

Remember 2 years ago when DTS Audio flourished?. Groups back then ran into the exact same problem.

PUKKA's release follows:

Video = 25fps (PAL format)

Audio = 29.97 (NTSC format)

Just like 2 years ago where all movies were PAL format & DTS Audio was NTSC format the frames per second caused the sync issue. (Audio ran faster then the actual video)

Groups back then took a few releases to realise there was a FPS issue with the video/audio.

What PUKKA needs to do is convert the audio to PAL format (pain in ass to strip & merge in sections) ... yet will fix the issue.

- Encode Issue wait for repack

you have NO idea what your talking about

first you mean NTSC-FILM which is 23.976 fps

this is done in 25 fps, but thats not the issue at all with why its difficult to sync

its difficult because of the differant languages (matching SFX instead of audio) and the fact that there were 2 projectors used (one which was running the audio which was capped, probably a drive in projector) and one which was running showing video (somewhere in russia)

they were both running at slightly differant speeds, not exactly 23.976 projectors speed up/slow down slightly, which causes the sync issues

If i have no idea what im talking about, then why re-encoding it the proper way. (Just like PAL > NTSC Video/DTS 1 year + ago) correct the sync issue.

- Thx

The sync 30 minutes into the movie is sort of annoying but it only lasts a minute or so. Then there are smaller sync issue in other places.

Other than that though this is a great telesync, props for being to early.

9/4/6 - The audio quality was actually good but i'm taking the sync issues into account.

V=8.0, very good.. since it's a really dark movie.
A=7.0, sounds great.. would be 8 if it was completely in sync.
M=7.5, great movie.. too bad it focuses too much on Leo and Ralph.

Looks like some of you need to head over to doom9.org
Maybe you learn something and stop talking all this nonsense.

The movie is a very good TS even thou its bit dark.
Because of the audio this could use a repack but I imagine a r5 or TC will be out very soon.

for everyone claiming this is an awesome release, have u actually bothered watching more than the sample?
what's the point telling people it goes out of sync though when they just ignore you and download it anyway and rate it 9 because they think the sample is a dvd screener.
then they finally watch it a week later and complain.

TMNT.PROPER.REPACK.TELESYNC.XViD-PUKKA

Posted by torxxx on 03-25-2007 03:24 AM:

alright, I just grabbed this and scanned through it.

Yes the audio sync is fubar, but other than that its a good release.. it is a TS for sure, it'll help if these people claiming its a TC or a DVDscr knew that its a animated film, so a TS will look great. look at Iceage 2 when that came out as a TS. A lot of people swore they were TC's or scrs.

Anyways, its a kids movie, my kid is gonna watch it and he's not gonna notice if it goes in and out of sync.

rating:

V - 9
A - 6
M - just scanned through it.. but its TMNT so its gotta be a 10

Posted by kelnar on 03-25-2007 03:43 AM:

dont waste getting this version, there is a better fixed version now called...
TMNT.PROPER.REPACK.TELESYNC.XViD-PUKKA
get that one, sound has been fixed

On This Release:

V: 9

A: 7 (Sync issues, as already mentioned by basically everyone)

M: 9 (Great movie - awesome animation)

Props to Pukka, great fast rls.

Now, onto the Repack that is out:

TMNT.PROPER.REPACK.TELESYNC.XViD-PUKKA

V: 9 (Great for TS, close to perfect)

A: 9 (sync issues resolved, nice job Pukka)

M: 9 (movie hasnt changed, lol. still great)

Enjoy everyone!

GREEEEEEEEAT, just as I finish the out-of-sync version, the REPACK comes out. Oh well, my opinion based on the o-o-s version (as if anybody gives a crap)

V: 8 or 9
A: Out of sync but if in sync easily an 8
M: 7-It's new Turtles, if it was the old ones I would have loved it much more. Good action though, but aimed at the wrong audience. But I guess that's the point, bring in a new generation of Turtles fans.

I was also shocked to see the entire logos in the beginning and the complete end credits. Nice job PUKKA and thanks for REPACK'ing it. Now I can burn it to DVDR.

Posted by AssKing on 03-25-2007 08:54 AM:

For the repack:

8/8/?

I downloaded it for my son, so I'll wait to watch it with him tomorrow. Very nice release and good to see Pukka doing a TS and not sitting not their hands waiting for the Russian DVD to do an R5 release.

On the Repack...

EDIT: Removed, 'cause there's a separate thread about the repack now.
