Why don't use 448k AC3 5.1?
If you're already going to 192 or 256 with stereo?!

because SVCD doesnt support AC3

for all you n00bs out there bitching about the audio, raising the audio bitrate will only decrease the video bitrate which seems stupid since the audio already sounds fine...
there is a max bitrate for audio+video on svcd's, so some sacrifices have to be made
9/9/10 imo

Nice Job TDI

Whoever voted on this one and voted low must be a moron.

When i posted i saw 7.9 on the video. Are you all blind.

I have seen blocky screeners in vcd get above 8.

You are so pathetic.

I give it 10/10.

If you want perfection buy the dvd and dont download any movies at all since if you are not happy with this no other svcd will be good enough for you.

Unless your dvd player cant handle the 192 bitrate then i can understand that you are looking for another release.

My ear cant hear a difference between 224 or 192 and this release is very good.

It plays perfect on my apex.

The chunky green shit that I wipe from my arse plays perfect on an apex, anyways... great release although video bitrate a bit high to play on some players and audio bitrate a bit below standard. For those who can't hear the difference between 192 and 224 probably can't hear the difference between 128kbit CBR MP3 and 448kbit 5.1 DD AC3, but for those of us that can... It does matter. I guess I'll wait for someone to release a DVDR and re-encode it myself. Props for the release though! Watch your DVD2SVCD configuration carefully on the next release

im sorry, but the only "stupid" person is the idiot who doesn't know what svcd standards are. you rip 224kbit 44khz . NO EXCEPTIONS. unless audio bitrate on the original is 192kbit, you dont rip below 224. maybe on your TV you can't tell the difference, but thats tough luck. will someone proper it? probably. do i care? no not really, cos i'll buy the damn thing anyway. its too good a disc to bother relying on a svcd/divx anyway, but in future rip properly.

oh, and 32kbit makes a lot more difference to sound than it does to video, so dont give it all this "extra video bitrate" bull.

TDi.... can you send your dvd to TcS or TCF and let them rip it? I mean its a pretty good release, but it could be better. Period.

One time, my cousin Walter got this cat stuck in his ass. True story. He bought it at our local mall so the whole fiasco wound up on the news, it was embarrassing for my relatives and all, but the next week he did it again, different cat, same results, complete with another trip to the emergency room! So I run into him a week later in the mall and hes buying another cat and I says to em "Jesus Walt, what are you doing? You know your just gonna get this cat stuck up your ass too, why dont you knock it off?" And he says to me "Brodie, how the hell else am I supposed to get the gerbil out?" My cousin was a weird guy....

As much as that hurts TDi, id have to agree.

For some reason I think this was NOT ripped from the DVD Source.

Hrmmmm. I dont think a new group like that would get the DVD Source and get it all ripped before a group like TCF, TcS or any other group.

Doesnt seem right to me.

TCF usually does 3pass. In my book thats below par and below 4pass. I'm glad they didn't do it cause I don't d/l crap.

Why not? TDi is an affiliate of ViTE from what I've noticed, and I'm sure ViTE can get those DVD Sources.

..are you kidding?

Rfta DivX is INTERLACED..

http://terwin.netfirms.com/images/fuckspider01.jpg

ok.. Im looking forward to this SVCD.. 192K may not be the perfect rip but still better than Rfta´s rip

Posted by deltop on 09-05-2002 10:29 PM:

For all those who are worried that it's a re-encode of the divx release, it's not. I wasn't too impressed with the divx release in fact.

Playing it on my 32" Widescreen it's obvious it's from a dvd source.

Quality is very good if not perfect.

Audio doesn't bother me as I'll be buying the dvd.

After all what the point of complaing about 192 vs 224 when you can have Dolby Digital or DTS
