To all that are bitching about the audio. Sounds pish on PC. Convert it or watch on a stand-alone DivX player. It's fine

Yep plays fine on a standalone.....but if you don't have a standalone or dvd burner your up shit creek with hissle/crack/white noise issue

Good point by you and Boo Yakka. Explains why the complaining. Watched entire movie and had no problems whatsoever with the audio.

like the rest of the posts......
v - brilliant

a - fucking annoying but willing to persist, the voices override the hiss/crackle not the otherway around

m - one of this magnitude deserves a good watch, if i had my time again, I would wait for clear audio.

Skimmed through this one, and I don't know what all the fuss over the audio is. There is a slight hiss, but nothing too noticeable, and it certainly does not affect the 'watchability' of this at all.

Video: 9.5
Audio: 8.5
Movie: Will watch soon

Crisp picture, sound has light crackling effect to it, but does not affect the overall quality of the film, which I have actually yet to fully watch...

Base it on what it is released as, not what you convert it to.

ratings based on R5 Line

Thanks for the excellent release Pukka! The video is great, but people talking about how the audio is ok are high. You can understand it, yes, but it sounds like a record played on my cheap kiddie emerson portable record player from 25 years ago like a record that I had treated like I treated records 25 years ago, like shit. Constant static, snap, crackle, and pop. Same result standalone player or on pc. Line sound should be much better. Still, it is watchable.

7/4/7

Video: 7 - was okayish... neither very good, nor was it bad.

Audio: 4 - Would've been perfectly fine Audio for a TS, but all the crackling, hissing and generally flat sound made it kind of sub-par, IMHO. The low rating is compared to a real DVD Rip. I know it's harsh, but even though R5 releases aren't really something new I'm not sure how to rate the Audio on them...

:MOD EDIT: ..given that an R5 Line is R5 video and direct audio like a TS (given that no english track exists on the R5 - which isn't PUKKA's fault), my personal view is that you should rate the audio as you would for a TS. *shrugs* -V

:PERSONAL EDIT: In this case this would become more of a 6 or 7 for my personal taste. Compared to recent run-of-the-mill TS. Not that anyone cares what I think, anyways...

Movie: 7 - nice for Western, but nothing spectacular. I liked the ending.

Nice goin' Pukka...

Played on a stand-alone DiVx player. No hissing audio here. Awesome, my kinda flick........

Well, its good quality video, but as stated, the hiss is annoying. Don't get me wrong, its definitely watchable. It doesnt matter if you watch the avi on yoru PC, or on your standalone, the static i still there.

Asteroids released a great quality proper with higher bitrate, and a different audio source that is 100x better. Thanks for all the work Pukka it is appreciated, but hopefully you can get a new source for your R5 lines. :-)

m - ? (gonna wait until a copy with better audio comes out before I watch the full movie)

I watched the sample along with the first 5min, but the audio was terrible. It would be suitable for a cam/vcd release, but with the video quality of this one, its too distracting.

Watched the whole flick on stand-alone, didn't notice anything other then it was a great release ... no hiss ... no out of sync ... great quality, don't know why anyone would need any other release then this one. Good Work !!!! Pukka

V=9
M=9

High marks from me, but I am a Western fan

With a simple Mpeg4 conversion youll get a great picture on the standalone Kiss-DP1500s. But the audio is nothing to let your surround system handle, leave it to the tv because it really sucks....

9/3/9

Great Movie, and stick with the PUKKA release. WTG

Great Job on the quickness of a very nice quality release PUKKA! the video is darn good. its very clean and clear. there were no artifacts, glitches, macro-blocks, or anything. now the audio on the other hand, is a different story. it has this deep pitch humm or hiss or whatever throughout the entire film. but i will admit, once you get into the movie you can tune it out and hardly notice it. Again Great Job PUKKA and keep em coming.
