-- I Am Legend *REPACK* *XviD* - DVD SCR - iMBT (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=79627)

Wow. Great release. The screener is almost regular DVD quality (some minor compression artefacts in dark scenes and only a tiny screener still text 3 times during the movie). And this so close after US theatrical release.

V - 8 DVD screener. Great quality. No B/W scenes. No scrolling text. Ssome minor compression artefacts are the only tiny downside
A - 9 brilliant quality
M - 7 I loved the pictures of deserted new york. looked all really cool. decent story and plot but good acting by smith imo

I did and it was well worth the D/L

For a screener

V - 9
A - 9
M - 4, what a shit ending

Edit: Whilst thinking about what i watched last night, I feel like they almost ran out of money and had to rush the ending in. Only plus side, Smith gives a good performance.

v:9 - in fact, probably as good as you can get for a single disk... very small 'warning' appeared periodically at the bottom. I've heard this was still slightly cropped, but in fact it was excellent, cropped or not.
a:10 - perfect. I used headphones but it was the best I've heard for a single disk.
m:8.5 Well, it was the second remake of the film (the first was Omega Man, and the original was Last Man on Earth). They were all slightly different and all differed from the book but this film, particularly the first 3/4, was excellent.

Liked this movie alot imo one of the best this year

V: 9
A: 9
M: 4 (and that's being nice)

Book is better, fuck this movie and fuck hollywood for churning out more shit. I prefer Charlton Hestons Omega Man to this crap. Biggest gripe; no vampires. The infected looked like raging chemo patients and to make things worse, they were all CGI.

Watched last night on standalone.

Video: 7.5 - jerky playback on pan shots and blockyness evident.

Sound: 9 - no probs here

Movie: 6 - disappointing given the hollywood hype and a very rushed feel to the ending.

Absolutely amazing video quality....Sound adequate...Movie pure CGI Driven Crap that Hollywood keeps churning out! Last Man on Earth & Omega Man surpass it..

V 9
A 8
M 5

No, it's not much about bandwidth it's more about the size of the disc.

That is why they are called 1 CD, 2 CD relaese etc.

around 4.4 GB is 1 DVD disc, around 9 GB dual layer etc

Video - 8/10 - great copy especially since it just came out in theatres, a small message only pops up like three times throughout the film and isn't very noticable.
Audio - 9/10
Movie - 5/10 - it was pretty good but I don't think I'd watch it again.

V - 8 Nice but a little block at times.
A - 9 I had to turn it up but it sounded like I was in the theater.
M - 7 It started great, but I am not a fan of the ending.

I thought it was an excellent rip. The little nag along the bottom was hardly noticeable. Story was a bit slow in places and yes the ending was a little daft.
