9/9/9 - don't know why people would avoid it simply because of the 'musical' tag...it's a 'bloody' wonderful film. and an awesome rip.

9/6/?

Video: No complaints, it's not getting any better than this.

Audio: usually this would be an eight or a nine - but, here's the catch: this is a musical, it's living from good music and... the audio just isn't enjoyable the way it's coming with this release. It's quality you expect from a DVD Rip, for sure, but something went wrong during encoding. It does have no dynamic range whatsoever. Everything sounds flat. When there is an orchestra playing it should sound like an orchestra, dammit. This does not.

When you watch it with cheap speakers you shouldn't notice that, actually flat dynamic sounds even better through them, but on anything else this just isn't enjoyable, IMHO (and please, take it as that... "my opinion"... when you don't really care for dynamics this is as good as it gets, hence I said this would be an eight or a nine).

Movie: Audio is the reason I can't rate this release yet. Just can't watch it that way.

Pukka...Nice release! AC3 sound (6chan according to Gspot) and video quality that is the best out....so far.. dark visuals but otherwise.. outstanding!

v 8.8 (great colors on my Samsung/Oppo equipment.
a 9.0 (sounds great on my Onkyo805/Polk speakers)
m (musicals are not my cup..will reserve this one!)

If you have been waiting for a great copy of this flick, no need, to wait any longer.. me thinks this will rule till a retail rip comes out!

(raised my ratings on sound...its really good!
