I'm not familiar with who owns forecourts in the US, but I suspect it'd be very difficult for you to purchase petrol/gas from an Arab supplier: the wells belong to the Arabs, but the refineries and gas/petrol stations in Europe/US are almost all European/US companies (BP/Shell/Texaco/Esso/Murco/Exxon/Chevron/Fina/Elf/Amoco/etc.).

The only ones that are obviously from the Middle East are Gulf and Q8.

Any changes made now will have no effect until at least another 2 or 3 years. But we're pretty much fucked along as the democrats in congress continue to play their stupid political games like the most recent vote against the Republican bill to allow offshore drilling 50 to 120 miles off the U.S. coast. Why? Best guess is the influence/money the environmental wackos have on them and the fact that they can continue blaming "Evil Chaney" and "Evil Bush" for our fuel/gas prices. Nice. Stupid fuckers.

I think you'll find that the caribou mouse is, in fact, extinct.

The moose are doing just fine though.

Currently Shell drivers are striking in the UK for £39k a year (basic!!) which is well above the national average. I think i'm right in saying thats about $80,000. If they win then the extra money Shell has to pay its drivers will enevitably filter down to the forecourt. Similar drivers for different companies will want the same so i see all prices continuing to rise for some time.

We in the UK pay around 1.15-1.25 per litre ($2.30-$2.50) some places are higher. Yet 60% of that is tax, and Shell and BP continue to announce record profits. We are fucking mugs.....
