i don't think Phelps is all that special. He is a good swimmer, thats all.

Having the most medals does not make him the best Olympian its just a reflection on the ease of his sport and exposes the ability of contestants to capitalise on variations of the same thing.

They should have it like Track games, 100 metres sprint, do it however the fuck you want, just get there as fast as you can.

Its a farce I tell ya and not at all surprising that the the previous record Gold medal haul at an Olympic games was 7 Gold medals, BY ANOTHER FUCKING SWIMMER, doesn't that tell you somehing? I mean for fucks sake, even an ugly British woman (19 years old and I wouldn't) can rake in 2 golds from swimming. Easy.

200m butterfly
200m medley.

Doing the same fucking thing but doing it in different ways. It's swimming 200 metres, thats it, get on with it. Ok we get it, you can swim fast, pick the fastest way to do it and stick with it. Swimming on your back is not as fucking fast as swimming on your fucking front so stop insisting on fucking doing it and making other people fucking do it to see who is the fastest at doing it in a way that is slower than the other fucking way you just did it. You fucking medal whoring cretin.

It just doesn't seem logical to me to do the same event 3 times and expecting 3 gold medals for doing it.

Different swimming strokes should be considered different techniques, not different events. You don't see high jumpers jumping as high as they can in one event, then lowering the bar to see who can jump the highest with one leg tied behind their back. Then demanding another gold medal for jumping a lower height but doing it in a different way.

Farcical aquatic ceremony.

Maybe it's because you Yanks realise Phelps gold medals are bogus and without his 8 medals USA would be 3rd in the table... BEHIND GB lol. USA haven't been allowed to abuse steroids this year, neither have Russia, it's very telling.

Oh, and I am no longer ruling out Phelps swim whore medals, I am claiming them for Britain instead.

Great Britain got a Bronze on the pummle horse.
Alicia Sacramone is the one who got cheated on the Vault by the Chinese.

We got Silver and Bronze on the floor exercise and the Romanian deserved the GOLD, and she got it.

I'm always gonna root for the U.S.A. I think all these athletes are amazing though,

I hate seeing any country booed, I think politics should be set aside for this.
