Simple:

1. Do NOT install any software updates from a disk from another region.
2. Do NOT install custom channels other than the homebrew channel. Launch all other homebrew via that.
3. Keep an eye on the various Wii forums and let somebody else experiment on their Wii before you install new apps/hacks on yours

ok, here we go...

1. The USBGecko for the Wii is a doohickey that plugs into the GC memory card slot (I think, I don't have one) and allows you to debug the Wii via a USB cable and a PC; take screenshots, search for Action Replay-style cheats etc... You don't need one unless you intend on doing some serious tinkering under the hood.

2. You basically extract the M3 firmware and dump the SYSTEM folder on your MSD card, then you create an NDS folder and shove your roms up that... Although I'd recommend this unofficial triple-boot firmware for the M3 instead, it uses the much prettier Sakura firmware (the sister card of the M3) - http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=90978

Dunno what FAT32lib is but I guess NDSMovie is for creating Moonshell .dpg files for movie playback on the DS.

NS, I downloaded that 3 boot thingy

I put the 4gb Kingston into the usb, I then removed the 4gb and placed it into the m3

I then placed it into the ds and presto

now how do i go from here, as in making a folder for nds files and so forth

and how do I explain to my 6year old how to read Chinese and navigate the thing

ok, I got rid of saduka or whatever it was and put m3real v35 I think.........anyway

it works

I have another problem now, I have used the usb and 4gb to do all this via removable disk (j)

so its picking up the usb but not the 4gb?

now when i put in the usb...it says to insert disk

how do I flush or what do I have to do to get the usb+4gb to be acknowledged by my pc

I have rebooted numerous times to no avail.

Any tips ?

I wonder if the 4gb has shit itself after 2 days?

I doubt it

I am leaning towards my pc but any suggestions are welcome

I opened the original one and stretched the pressure plate that locks the 4gb into the slot to be read.

I think its memory thats why, wont hurt asking

and does the m3 have its own memory so i can wipe the 4gb? as in the system folder for the m3

No, the M3 ALWAYS boots from the card so leave the system folder there. I'm not sure about the M3 software though cos the triple-boot Sakura works fine in English for me and boots to the NDS folder (well, it boots to a list of recently used roms but the main list is just a click away).

Check the options on the M3 software, it might have an option to default to your main games list... I'm not sure though.

I'd check for you but my DS is sat on my desk at work at the moment

yep....the looter got a wii for the kids....so i am doing some prelimimnary research for modding it and want an update frome the aussie and anyone else that might have some info...

all this shit you and ns are talking about seems alittle foriegn to me so i dont think i want to go that route(we all know whats gonna happen)...if i get it modded at a dodgy shop will this eliminate all the side tinkering?
