When that was 1st released in the uk the banned films were still banned but when that younger guy came in (head of bbfc) he released a lot of the banned in the uk stuff plus the bbfc were nazi over here cutting good films right up.
Personally i used to just use the vhs tapes and leave em just after the scenes i like incase i needed a quick fix with remote in 1 hand and myself in the other

I was told by my parents that Fritz the Cat, and Flesh Gordon was banned in the US at one time.

They saw Flesh Gordon at the cinema and after that it was yanked out, same with Fritz. Personally I don't think Fritz the Cat was that dirty or vulgar.

Ok just started watching Rambo 3 HDDVD and again there's a lot more leg kicking in the stick fight in the warehouse at the beginning,so yeh uk had been cut again.

On the subject of Rambo i remember 1st blood when he escapes from the police station and the last guy he sweeps and he hits the floor you see him later on with a band aid on his nose a later version from the usa (vhs copy) shows him elbowing him into his nose

See I'm kind of surprised by this. I've been rewatching The Office. Not the American version. It's not raunchy by any means but raunchier than regular TV here in the sates.

Ain't no way in hell will someone get a blow up dong for a Bday present, lol. Just won't happen on any TV show.

Never seen Little Britain. I did however watch the first episode of Coupling last night, which I've been wanting to watch for a long time but never have.

I just wish there was more episodes of certain shows.

Yeh, the following Airwolf, Street Hawk, The A Team, Knightrider those shows should have carried on i got em on dvd but gutted i want more of em AND NOT REMAKES

Those shows should have been canceled before they got aired.

For example The Office theres what 12-14 episodes total? Why not 20-30 then conclude the series? In the states the average sitcom or any show is 20-22 eps per season.

I'm all for a start and finish to a series, instead of milking it for every penny. I totally disagree with making 8-11 seasons and having 200 eps unless the show is that great, and usually there not.
