Quote >Todays mainstream music isn't even tolerable, it's went down the shitter in the past few decades, 80's was shit, 90's was a bit better but still shit, 00's is complete and utter garbage. Gotta mostly agree with you there apart from the eighties .All the mainstream music was complete and utter runs but you had Mk2 (Dio) sabbath - mob rules, heaven and hell Early(dio) rainbow,(pre-commercial) iron maiden ,ufo, coverdale-paige glen hughes etc

Ac/dc the australian status quo ?
The door spent three years as support for Love in LA basically a clone of that band and nowhere near as good.
Floyd love em to bits
Janis Joplin amazing voice.
Bob Marley brought reggae to the masses,
no one put up Hendrix yet?

And remember down the road, not across the street!

Well I'd have to say the albums I've listened to most over the years are

Duran Duran: The Wedding Album
U2: Achtung Baby
The Stone Roses: The Stone Roses
The Streets: A Grand Don't Come For Free

I think I get sucked into a track or album by the lyrical content rather than any of the musical themes or styles. Having said that I can't listen to metal at all. For some reason I've never gotten into it. Haven't really tried to be honest. Whenever I come into contact with it I just switch off.

Agreed 100%. London Calling is far from my top of the top but I would have to say its the album most people know.

Same goes for U2 - Joshua Tree. My fav album but probably not the album I would pick for one of their best.

Maybe she needs a good shag? Isn't that what you Brits are calling it these days?

I'd keep this site away from kids and the Mrs. You might incriminate yourself.
