Film was ok a few grey areas that needed special effects but that's about it

I got the NoGrp release, it was one file, so no breaks. It was oversized. A lot of the special effects are gone. I watched about 30 minutes of it and passed the fuck out, lol.

What I watched was pretty decent. I won't give a review of the movie until then.

Has anyone watched the full movie yet?

my buddy sent me a different article about it.

No one has mentioned if they liked the movie. I watched it today, the end was a bit rough to watch but other than that the movie I thought was pretty damn good. It was loads better than X3.

Heres my take on it. Xmen 1 was good, X men 2 was fantastic and the prequel is on about as good as Xmen 1, not nearly as good as X2.

X3 was like two different directors, the first half was great the second half sucked.

^we're basically as a news site Arthur so posting screen caps because we're reporting the leak shouldn't be an issue.

You remember the issue from paramount? X69 got emails/letters demanding he take the pics down? This was when Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life was released. I forget all the details.

Yeah, they try that bullying shit and make false claims but we're in a pretty secure position legally when it comes to screenshots (not so sure about samples though).

Also, although we still ban discussion regarding where to download stuff I reckon we'd even be ok legally (we just don't want that stuff on here cos we're snobs!) even if we had a button next to each release to search the release on, oh I dunno, Usenet indexers or public Torrent trackers - so long as we're not hosting or indexing anything we're pretty safe.

I personally don't think the Jpeg samples are needed.

Hell, news sites like excite have posted pictures of this release.

I never get why such a good source gets leaked to P2P first. Give it to the scene and let them put their hands on first. At least we'll get max quality like that. Not some 1GB AVI re-encoded to 700MB. Also I wouldn't be surprised if they catch the fucker who did this. Pretty much like the idiot that leaked Hulk.

I was just thinking about the Hulk release myself.

I understand why it's released through p2p first. It's the easiest forum to release through and anyone can do it. Also extremely tracable I'm sure.

I bet half these releases like this are some guy who's working on the movie and gets shit one. like having his name excluded from the credits, hehe.

Didn't they have the same problem with Monsters inc. if I remeber correctly.

tbh the source prolly contacted a few scene groups first but they(the source) wanted it out quickly, and they just upped it to some torrent site ie no replies to the initial emails ...much prolly like notorious dvdrip which is a dvd screener

You cannot stop piracy like this.

While i dont know why the FBI is getting involved (Minus the criminal infringement post-release) I dont see how this is anything more then an employee breaking a NDA.

That being said..

THIS is the type of piracy the studio's need to worry about. While any jo blo can go cam a movie, it takes special access to get print's like this. I feel for the poor person, they no doubt, will get caught.

The industry really needs to adopt a new distribution method - cut out the 15 fucking middlemen who make money off a print from the time its filmed to theaters - and do the distro themselves.

If my set top box had the ability for me to watch a movie for 24 hours, the price of a movie ticket (minus a few bucks even) I certainly would pay for it.

The idea that download = loss is wrong, I downloaded this, but at the same time, I was never going to go see it in theaters anyways.

Mirimax, Paramount, Weinstein...Smarten up, the problem isnt with the consumers, it's with you.
