There is a comments section for discussion of scene releases and there is a movie forum for other movie talk. I don't know about other members but I don't want to see release threads by some dick who thinks its 1337 to post before an updater, especially not in the General Discussion forum. If its not a rule, it fucking should be.

Almost all "scene" xvid releases get listed here in under 12hrs as a rule in under 2hrs, the dvdr well that's a finished section pretty much same as vcd and svcd went, this is due to the fact there are 720p releases out now, take this knowing there is a blue ray rip already out with just pure movie and ac3 sound which beat the dvd r quality hands down

As for the Bronson, the guy i spoke with said there was 2 reasons he put it where he did and not trade it for 133t status for 30 seconds.
1) For the scene to start using emails so "suppliers" can get to the groups and deal ,not the smaller groups but the bigger groups who can tweek a release audio or video if need be and why do u think p2p is doing so well with cinema releases?, that's simple they use the email system and are now winning to a certain extent and have reasonable access or money to offer the supplier's

2) He wanted to see where the release ended up and who would steal the source and claim it as there own, also this was the reason the watermark was placed as well as the fucked up aspect ratio, it's not hard to upload it onto a site and let the courier's ferry it across to sites.

well lol in my experience

1 email worked for me

then after proof etc and a few more emails that day i uploaded to their site and it got pred within 24 hours

Pre shouldn't take more than 3 hrs, just incase couriers jump the gun or ind release it themselves, seen it done many a time, this is why it goes onto a dedicated server of said group 1st even b4 pre starts.
Also email is not a good idea after first contact and further contact should be on an encrypted channel out there

Dunno, seems that there could be a place for this kind of post so long as theres still strictly no mention of where or how to get the release. I still think wobs a prick though, the loser actually thinks he's special for spotting a scene release that has yet to make it to the front page.

Someone correct me if I'm being retarded, but:

a) this is a site for rating scene releases, not timing how quickly they get onto the site (a review delayed by three hours is still a review)

and

b) the items wob insists are "missing" do inevitably turn up when supplied by reliable sources who don't get their movies from the Filippino ladyboy down the local pub

So I'm with Gezzer on this, I wouldn't give him much of anything until he stops shitting on the site and actually contributes something worth reading.

from my understanding and i did ask the group why it took so long and the answer they gave back was..they had to make it scene standard and they actually had to watch the whole movie themselves for sync issues etc

lmfao in this last month alone ive been offered exclusive use of a private ftp but i refused as firstly i wouldnt put myself in that position incase summit went wrong ie security and secondly i get my shit with an approx 25 quid 6 month rs account

Then you was taken for a ride m8, having being in a group long long ago.
I'll give you a quick run down what to expect (unless things change and i doubt they have) they take a chunk of the sample and check that for sync and quality if this is ok the sample is made out of this maybe cut down .
They check the rar file size and name (to scene standard) someone else does the nfo and job done it's there in around 2 mins (on pre site) then ind spread it onto 0 hr sites after top sites, then comes the 1hr sites etc

As for the scene itself yes it may be a little slow for now but within a few years these p2p forums will be shut down for good as soon as the mpaa etc crack down even harder also your going to have the console world cracked down as well just like appz were but with my suspicion a hell of a lot harder.
The scene will still be here and has been back to the good old days and your average twat wont have access to the goodies
I still remember getting crocodile dundee 2 and die hard early on the vhs granted with subs but what the hell, and that's without the old video nasties that were banned in the 80's i miss those days

P.s to be an updater you need to have ftp access not p2p forums plus u need to work out what are scene groups and which are p2p, and it be handy if u had access to the scene dupe check site which i seriously seriously doubt you have

what is this FTP thing ppl are always talking about? Neversoft sent me a link to vcdqs FTP but it didnt work for me. Kept linking me to goatse and meatspin. figured his clipboard was broken.
