Nice sample choice.. also great choice for screenshots for the jpeg samples. That said.. the best parts of the movie can be seen in the jpegs. What a hideously bad idea for a movie. If your girlfriend wants to watch a movie you could rank this over say Erin Brockovich because at least theres something in it for guys. (If you have to ask you are required by law to return your penis to the International Bureau of Men so that it can be given to someone who will actually have some respect for it.)
Other than that the audio was good, had some problems with the bass level, but if you have a speaker setup that actually has some form of crossover you can adjust the sub level to make it decent, so about a 7. Picture quality was good, but as always water is ironically the plague of pirates as most efficent video compressors have serious problems with it, especially nice constant bitrate ones like mpeg1. I would say the picture gets a 7 as well, since its flaws, such as the pixellation, are codec related and are really not fixable. This is one I will defintiely not be converting to DivX as the quality would go further down the drain and also because its not worth that much CPU time.

sound

I guess nobody here noticed that the sound is all fucked up whenever some bass hits the speakers (music during the movie). Sounds terrible whenever any music is playing.
