As a side question. Is Dwaggy still a cunt?

I haven't visited the IRC channel recently myself either but I can, without a shadow of a doubt state that Dwaggy isn't a cunt... He's a fucking cunt (and proud of it).

I have just started re watching Band of Brothers for the Nth time.

Episode 4 shows a lot of action in flashback form as Winters (played by Damien Lewis) writes up the combat report after the battle.

I imagine these reports would have been created for all action throughout the war, my question is are these documents classified in anyway, and if not where could I find them?

It will be stored in the National Archive - not all stuff is available online (AFAIK) but you can request stuff... HAPPY HUNTING!

ok, you got me... I've looked A LOT (I don't like to be beat but don't take that as a "challenge" you cunts) - I don't know, sorry

I can only find the briefest of samples of that track... Could you upload a PORTION for me so I have something to work with? Don't upload the whole track - legal issues etc etc

If it wasn't for your reference to opera I was expecting it to be "Mr Sandman by the Chordettes" from 1950-something. Hence why I needed the snippet of the track, I tried Amazon and a few other places that provide samples but none of them were long enough to here the bit you were referring to.

I'm still not 100% sure I'm right but after finding a snippet of "Hansel And Gretel: I Am The Little Sandman" it sounds like the right one, so I'm running with that

If this was a quiz question or something I hope I get to share the prize

(my Kung-Fu is strong, motherfuckers!)

Dear Neversoft,
Could you recomend any good quality, cheap electro-acoustic guitars that would be good for someone just starting out?

It will be the same as trying to make a backup of a game, you could take an image, split rar it up then burn it as a data disc onto a few cds, but you wont be able to play the copy unless you crack it.

dear nevesoft

im going to buy a nintendo ds for me and my brother, we have some long journeying ahead of us in summer and tradition over the years has been gb / gbc and gba to pass the journey time... its time for a new toy!

wheres the best place to read about how its done, what i'll need and possibly some step by step guide?

also, is there such a thing as a ds emulator for the pc? id like to see what some of the rpg games are like before i splash out.

and also, id like to know what it can and cant do once its been flashed cos i dont really have a clue (other than i know it can play backed up games)

i just checked ds-scene and ndscene but they havent been ever so helpful as yet

and lastly, i was a massive fan of the lord of the rings rpg on the gba... are there any similar rpg style games for the ds?

cheers

Rip it to an ISO image, split the ISO with WinRAR (set compression to "STORE" instead of compressing as it will be super slow otherwise and compressed video doesn't compress that much anyway. Dump the rars onto CD's and copy/unrar at their house.

... Or spend the £20 on a fucking DVD drive, tight twats!

Heck, is that enough questions? ok, here we go...

There is a very good guide here: http://www.metku.net/index.html?pat...s/nds/index_eng

Personally I have a Supercard Lite for GBA compatability but if you don't care for running GBA games you can get away with just having a Slot-1 flashcart as opposed to a Slot-1 Passme and Slot-2 flashcart. If NDS games and homebrew are all you care about, check out the Supercard Slot-1 or M3 Simply. I don't know where you live but www.consoleplus.co.uk offer excellent service.

I'd recommend getting a flashcart that supports MicroSD memory cards and one that has the memory card slot in an easily accessible place (the Slot-2 M3 has the slot in the side meaning you have to remove the whole thing just to get to the mem card, for example).

There are no *fully* working NDS emulators for the PC but you could check out No$GBA which will run some roms and pretty much all homebrew. Ensata is the official Nintendo emu for developers and hard to get a hold of - dunno if it's any good either but the unnofficial line is "There are no decent DS Emus out for the PC"

There's plenty of RPGs out for the NDS but be sure to check out Final Fantasy (obviously), Children of Mana and harvest Moon... There's probably plenty of others but it's not really my preferred genre, sorry.

Some good NDS homebrew sites are as follows:

www.drunkencoders.com
www.dev-scene.com
www.ds-scene.net
www.maxconsole.net
www.qj.net

Have fun... They're a fuckin' awesome piece of kit

Dear neversoft

Are you happy with your life?

What makes you smile when you wake up in the morning?

If you could change one thing, what would it be?
