Some dudes are bitchin here..i mean isnt this just superb work? Defenitly wins the "pre rls-price" in my book. 14 days be4 and such a nice audio/video.

Props

Very impressed. Ok it's an nth-gen source but it'll do nicely. It's as good as any average screener and the two-week pre is pretty goddamn amazing.

The lack of SFX etc in places is to be expected really and shouldn't be bitched about. Remember, this is a WORKPRINT and NOT a screener so it's obviously unfinished.

The audio feels like a poor foreign dub in places and sfx and cgi moments still need mastering. But for a print this early again, we can't complain.

Movie still looks shit though. I won't be going to the theatre.

REally nice pre

its a workprint which is cool i heard a lot on tv about how the fx on the hulk looks reallllly cartoony and they really put it down.. i can see why, cant wait to see how much they improved it when it hits the big screen

Got disc 2 and then binned it and cancelled my q's for 1+3. I know its 2 weeks early and its a wp but sorry its cak. Sound is slightly out of sunc, many effects are missing sound, you might not think the bars are annoying from the sample, thats becuase its so dark you cant see. In other parts they are really annoying. I dont wanna dissSMF, props for the release but to me this is one only for people who collect workprints..

The video is fine, the audio is a little weird. Is anyone else getting the sound effects/background music in the right speaker, and the dialogue in the left?

LOL @ Stan Lee's cameo... It's near the beginning, after the prologue. Look for it.

Just got done with CD1.

cool beans

Well its a nice pre, picture isn't that bad. I can handle the black bars. Sound is really odd. Like mystic said it needs mastering but nothing to complain about. Maybe they should have made this rls mono? the sound would be together. Also I wonder if there are scene changes in this rls than the theatrical that comes out in 2 weeks. I guess we'll find out. Kinda like Willard was different.

Picked it up yesterday and wow Props on the Speed SMF !! This WorkPrint was better then alot of CAMS / TS's i have seen definatly a pick er up'r. Sounds Good and Picture is alright. Got two black bars throught the whole movies (prob covering the serials), picture is a bit faded and a bit dark, if you gonna watch this copy - watch at night - or lighten your TV. A few Computer "glitches" in it - hence the workprint - one point Hulk looses his pants , another point he looks like jolly green giant, . The Movie itself, im soooo disapointed. I personally Was expecting so much more. Unlike DareDevil, Spiderman where you get their story life in first 15 mins and they become superheros ... The Hulk Drags on a bit ... enough said I'll let you be the judge.

true, but when a 2003 multimillion $ budget movie can't compare to Kenneth Johnsons 1977 tv movie , with the REAL hulk (lou ferrigno) ... you gotta be worried

Big props to SMF for this thing 2 weeks early. Can't ask for much more. I really wanted to see this movie, thanks SMF

The only bad parts about a work print are the unfinished cgi and missing sound effects. Other than that it was a decent popcorn flick.

Just picked up the sample, Great pre good color and even though the sound is kinda freaky a great WP. Much better than many I have seen (thoguh workprints seem rare nowdays)

7/5/? For workprint pre

Props for the 14day "advanced screening"

Posted by naked_eye on 06-07-2003 07:21 PM:

Disappointed, maybe!

I also was disappointed, but remember, this IS a workprint, most of the sound effects were missing or incomplete, and the ending seemed to be thrown together, like something was missing from it. Also most Workprints include EVERY scene from the movie, even the ones the director removes from the final copy, which may explain why it drags along in the first half.
The thing that bothered me most was if you have seen the full trailers, you have seen 80-90% of the time he was the hulk in the movie. Hopefully things have been removed, and the final film will be more complete, and they will take some of the first scenes out that drag along.

Posted by PhilD on 06-07-2003 07:43 PM:

Well maybe the sample doesn't do the video justice as from seeing the sample i didn't think the video was that great, definetely not compareable to a screener... compareable to a ts at best.

Anyways, grabbing the full thing as i can't complain getting a 2 week pre, not sure if i'm wanting to see this anyways, i have a feeling it's gonna be as bad as daredevil was.

Anyways for a workprint, and from the sample 6/6/?

Thank you SMF -- I agree with what has already been said. Good quality, like a nice TS, and MAJOR props for being 2 weeks early, but this workprint is definitely UNfinished. I doubt Ang Lee could make a movie this bad. Edit note: I've watched all of it now, it wasn't as bad a movie as I thought, but it still lacks. I'd guess it's at least 90% complete.

picture wasnt bad at all... sound had a couple scratchy parts but other than that it was damn good... who cares about the damn black bars.... didnt notice em..(might be because i was on xanex, but thats besides the point)...and the movie kick3d ass.... 8/7/9...

Posted by strawhair on 06-07-2003 08:00 PM:

6/6/6 simple as that

Posted by tphillip on 06-07-2003 08:15 PM:

Nice quality! Pic is a little fuzzy, sound is kinda VHS-ish, but for a two week pre I aint complaining!

If you're watching this through an apex, you can hit the l/r button on the remote to make it play the disc mono. It really improves the quality of the audio.
