additional
Here's another film not many people have heard of, at least I don't know anyone who has heard of it and that's reason enough for me to post it.
-Life or something like it (Angelina Jolie film, she has blonde hair and a sister, nice ending)
volcano high is pretty kool.
Life or Something like it was a pretty decent flick. Centropy did a pretty good job with that one if memory serves. Just doesn't look quite right for AJ to have blonde hair like that though.

Requiem for a Dream
about drug addiction
The movie Memento was rather strange and good at the same time. I'm not sure if this movie was mainstream or what, all I know is that I did not hear about it until a friend recommended it to me and rather enjoyed it when I saw it. If you haven't seen it i highly recommend it, but once again I am not sure if this was an extremely small release or I just completel missed it.

not exaclty unknown movie, but a good one...
y'all should move to canada, and get a channel called showcase...they run movies like all the ones mentioned in this thread on a daily basis...and because canadians aren't anal like some other north american country's residents are, they run them "uncut" as in there's still commercials, but also titties, and fuck words

Showcase kicks ass
Mememto was mainstream, but it turned out very well. That technique has very rarely been used.
Requim for a dream was also a very differently made film, and yea quite depressing to watch.

I thought Slashers was a good movie and I recommend it to anybody. Sort of original...

SPY KIDS 3D
rofl
actually Donnie Darko and er uh.. Memento
I'm a sucker for japanese horror so, JU-ON (the first 2, not the remake) and such wonderfull wicked stuff. Those flicks are basically very much like Ringus are. Also TOMMY series is nice.
How bout Ed Wood?
