From Ctps Matrix DVDR NFO... http://www.vcdquality.com/nfo.php?id=13678

³³ After thorough discussions with the APM crew we have discovered an ³³
³³ internal leak on our part. They did not have any knowledge that their ³³
³³ release was infact our work, nor are they in any way responsible for ³³
³³ stealing our matrix release. They acted in good faith when releasing ³³
³³ it, and should be credited for doing so. We apologize for what ³³
³³ confusion our previous nfos may have caused, to the APM crew, and to ³³
³³ you.

Yeah thier matrix 2 dvd-r nfo said it wasnt apms fault, and that it was their fault.... But i really do doubt that centropy uses silvers..... I mean if they did, just think of all the good quality realeses we would have had from those week groups that use silvers.... and i know that were not getting good quality silvers so w/e. Centropy prolly knows somone who cams silvers, and takes that source and realeses it. meaning somone on centropy proly makes the silvers. And the fact that ONE out of the many realeses they have done got leaked isnt all that surprising.... Somone said pv's 2 fast 2 furoius was a centropy source, i think thier pretty ignorant, because pv even said they were getting a 3chip cam. Ne ways, lets not turn this thread into a whole stole from centropy thread, lets actully rate the quality of the movie.

(after watching the entire realese)

Just watched the entire film. The video quality is one of the best iv seen for a TS. Only watched it on a 15" tv but i coudlnt tell the diffrents from the release to a dvdrip is svcd format.

The audio is great as well. Not certain why tcs properd apm as i couldnt see anything wrong. I couldnt tell how badly it was cropped but from what i could it was hardly any if anything.

As for the ending it ends after the first credit is shown so theres no ending missing.

My error...the Apex cuts it off before the credits show, at least my AD-1500 does. PowerDVD does also if play the burned videocd. However, the Initial DVD Player plays all the way through to the credits, and so does PowerDVD if you play the mpegs.....

Just finished watching this release and converting it to DVD, this is a fine release, good video/good audio this is how a telesync should be expected to be. There were NO notable instances of the audio out of sync on my Pioneer DVD player(so whoever started the rumour must have a crap system or bad burn) Anything released as an SVCD telesync should be NUKED unless labeled proper or internal. There is no need for another SVCD release of this until a screener comes out. (The Cue Fix files are important though.. as I paid them no attention and burnt without, resulting in unplayable discs, once I used the fixed cues no problem)

Good Job APM

I've never seen so many CTP fanboy's (the ones who usually drool over every CTP release disregarding angle/cropping/oversaturation/pixelation) complain so much about the slight angle in this release, aren't you guys used to it by now or does that only apply when it's tagged -CTP. This looks like the same exact source, don't judge by the dark scene in the sample... The bright ones are nice, Great Job APM 8/8/9

decent video but kindo dark, sound is a bit noisy but not bad till the end when it cuts out for a second and it seems to be missin the very end so i have to give it a 6/6/8

So Sparrow gets the Black Pearl in the end and just sails away? I have only got the TGF release waiting to find this one somewhere.

Another fairly decent release

Well, I haven't seen a whole lot from APM, but this isn't half bad.

And just to chime in on the subject, I don't give a rats ass where the source came from, as long as it gets released. You people crack me up, arguing about who stole what from who. Technically, if you want to get down to it, it's ALL stolen, so just stfu. Enjoy the fact that you get access to movies that you may not otherwise have had.

Now, onto the release.

I really didn't expect the picture to be quite so dark, even after reading a few comments. I almost hate reading the first 2 pages of comments, though, cuz it's always JPG or sample judgements, and I am a firm believer you can't judge fairly by those (And should not judge at all). But, the picture was too dark in some places - even in well lit, daylight scenes on islands and such. It's nothing that makes it unwatchable, but I would have liked to seen more color and vividness to the pic. More groups than just Centropy has gotten a nice, crisp picture out of dark films.

As for the sound, I didn't have as much trouble here as most were. I noticed no sync problems, only a few VERY quick cutouts (like a second each). But overall, pretty decent sound.

The movie was great. I very much enjoyed it, even after listening to all this hype. Depp is an amazing actor.

7/7/8

Very correct. I'm suprised by the voting on this as this is indeed a CTP source (wondered why CTP didn't release?). Shows you that theres alot in a name. I choose this version after watching all of the TcS release which had all the makings to be better but it fell a little short.

I prefer the "APM" release due to the fact that no parts are cut out (a good 20-30 seconds are cut on disk 2 of the TcS release and about 5 minutes of Disk 1). Also this release has a steady color control while the TcS constantly switched up with faded in or out colors (became very annoying). Dark scenes are a little more vibrant with this also.

Video - 8.5 (very good for a TS and overall better then the TcS)
Audio - 8 (good audio with very little echo or hollowness)
Movie - 10 (I thouroughly enjoyed this movie and watched the TcS copy 4 times last week but the chops kept bothering me. I have now watched this twice and I am very grateful for the full movie).

Also audio was perfectly in sync with me.

Thanks APM & CTP for this release. Thanking APM for the quickness and CTP for the source. I just wish CTP would release quicker so we could get some real votes and not just hold on to our 8's and 9's for movies tagged CTP.

IMO, this is currently the best release of this film. It has captured more of the widescreen image than any of the other releases from TcS, TGF, and sWs. This is an awesome Telesync. Great job APM!

VIDEO - Very sharp, perfect widescreen framing, whites a little blown out but acceptable

AUDIO - Kind of hollow sounding but clear

MOVIE - Great swashbuckling action, lots of fun

actually not too much different from the theater, you have to expect a bit of a downgrade but it is more than watchable
