but overall... good effort by XPD. better luck next time.
i just bought a new DVD player today that cant play any types of VCD's!!! it sux!! and oddly enough my year-and-a-half old dvd player can play all types of VCD's including SVCD's.
Why are all of you looking for this anyway?
I guess I just do not understand why all of you want this release anyway, or why it even exists. Is it because you do not want to watch it on your pc? Or that your DVD player does not play an SVCD? Seriously a $50 Apex will play an SVCD. Some of the more expensive DVD players will not. Just invest $50 or less, you wont be sorry. Check eBay!
SVCD to VCD NERO
I've noticed a few people asking how to do the NERO trick with an SVCD.... It works and is a lot less hassle than the conventional way....this is courtesey of vcdhelp.com
1. Open TMPGEnc and goto FILE>MPEG TOOLS and click on the
Simple Multiplex tab.
2. Click Browse for video input and select your movie.
3. Be sure that the type is MPEG-1 Video-CD
4. Select you output file.
5. Click Run. This will take 5-10min maybe more depending on video size
and speed of your computer.
6. Now just burn to CD useing Nero or any other burning tool that will burn VCD's
Note: After doing this if you try to play the mpeg on your computer chances are
you will just get is a blocky green screen. Do not worry, this is normal but it will still
play fine in your DVD player
hope this helps
So what does it mean when TMpgenc says the following while doing the svcd to vcd trick;
154557s packets cause buffer underflow
