Because other groups do everything for free and do a better job. It's not complaining it's being truthfull. The release sucks. Ok I mean if I gave you a cd that sucks you wouldnt be saying ohh well its was free and its the thought that counts you'd be saying good this sucks and what a waste it was. This was a waste of a screener. Better luck next time is all you can say.

It is with suppressed outrage that I speak negative of the posts reguarding this release. I finished watching the entire release on my dvd player and was amazed at the fact it was not a DVD I had been watching.

1. On the "complaints" of pixalation, spend the 27 cents and burn the release to cd-r; this will get rid of your pixalation more likely than not, caused by your vcdgear or similar app.

2. As for the sound only playing on the rear speakers, refer to "1" above and let your dvd player or receiver take care of that.

3. As for the "CVD" outcries, get a camera and make your own CVD, but dont sit back and critisize others for there accomplishments.

4.It is also with a heavy spirit that I make others aware that the provider of the screener will most likely not be sending anymore rips. If you burn the release and watch it closely, you will see at time 29:22 of CD-2 a series of six yellow markers located just below the shack windows. I believe these to be a new method of tracking screeners that manage to get leaked into the warez scene.

To sum myself up; stop complaining, place fault ony where it lies, play safe, and most important of all, cover your ass.

Proving you're states of a moronic noobie I see. If you couldnt tell the diffence between this and a DVD you're a idiot. Saying CVD is crap and only the quality of a cam is moronic too. VCD is what is a pos. The bitrate is low and so it the resolution. CVD has higher resolution than VCD and has the same Bitrate as SVCD. Also CVD is complient with DVD standards meaning you can rip the mpgs right off the disk and burn both CD or however many there are right on a DVD and have yourself a working DVD. In no way is VCD better at all. SVCD only beats CVD in resolution. VCD should die and there should ethier be CVD or SVCD release. Thx and stfu when you dont know what you're talking about from now on.

and if you dont like vcds that much get out of this forum for vcds duh :?

Thank you revolution-x. I was hoping somebody with an IQ above that of the number of posts they have, would comment about my post and support my opinion. Seems nowdays, buliten baords have turned into little more than places to publicly critisize others on their opinions and productions.
I also would like to add to my previous post, "Mad Props out to TDI on their outstanding release."

Pretty damn poor for a screener. Blurry and washed out on my standalone and 50" Plasma. Tried all the fancy contols and AR's , but nothing helps. Watched quite a few telesyncs lately that had much better video.

The audio while screwed going to the speakers can be fixed experimenting with your home theatre's sound fields. Mono would be my first choice.

Can't believe we're waiting so long for a decent release of this movie.

I guess we can thank Jack Valente of the screen actors guild for all these crappy Academy Award VHS's. I read somewhere they weren't going to use DVD's this year to purposely lower the quality of them on internet. Don't know if it's true or not, but considering he wanted to stop AA screeners altogether, but couldn't, thanks to the Independent film makers taking him to court, I guess it could be true.

lol alright...

not great for a screener, but I dont like the movie much anyways, so it'll do. video is grainy, kinda washed out. watchable tho. audio is fine, more or less typical screener fare.

Just watched this, video was good, audio worked fine without problems on my standalone (dunno why others were having trouble with it), didn't really like the movie though, while there were a few good parts, my attention often wandered.

Posted by sarasara on 01-07-2004 10:19 PM:

i burned this and watched on my tv - not bad at all i was expecting God only knows what on the audio - maybe some of these posts have more meaning other than rating the movie quality - you know how politics slip through everything and anything these days *fucking little peckers*

i think the video is more of a concern than the audio - blurred

audio 7
video 6
movie 6

Can anyone tell me what specific settings to use in sound forge channel edit to fix the audio?

Posted by thetruecritic on 01-12-2004 12:24 AM:

I just can't understand why the vhs screeners can't be SVCD instead of VCD. Good movie though, sound it a little low in parts. 7/6/8.5

Posted by vinnyv07 on 01-12-2004 02:57 AM:

The quality of the video would be better if these screeners where SVCD....but I'll take these copies anyday of the week. Loving every min of this. I love this time of the year ...all the screeners...not many dvd screeners as of yet. Still hoping for a LOTR's DVD screener. But, back to this movie. Video was a little blurry, but I'll still give it a 7.0...audio was good 7.0....movie was excellent ....9.0.

Alright screener, not the best... I really liked this movie though.

no audio

I found this had no audio, merely the sound of an aquarium in the background. Yet I don't see anyone else posting this, confuses me.
