man i dont know about you guys, but the ratings for this movie is like 8.3 for video? Are you guys blind? I seen dvdrips that were rated almost at that rating whereas their video was practically dvdrip crisp. This video should get anything less than 8, but not higher than 8....

Posted by staggersw on 06-08-2004 01:26 AM:

Video is rated as a telesync/cam... not to be compared with dvdrips which are undoubtly clearer. The vid for this compared to the best ever ts is definately worthy of around a 8

Posted by Jurai on 06-08-2004 02:09 AM:

pretty nice, 7.5/8/9

7/8/7

movie is cropped isnt good AR as some are stating yes right side is missing movie AR is 2:35:1.

Non The less a better release just not up to par on other stuff they have done in the past.

You've been on this site since 2002, how on earth can you still not understand the rating system?

I just finally picked this one up. I watched about 10 mins into cd1 and I must say this is very nice. I also have the Uti cam and this is a gigantic improvement over that. Anyone who says keep the Uti cam is an idiot! This is the best version out right now. Period. Forget any AR issues or angles or even if it's a fix from the Uti source. I don't care. I'm going by picture clarity and clean audio... this is very clear and the audio is near perfect, as usual.

I came down hard on videocd for their debauchery of the Kill BiLL 2 TC (rightfully so), but when it comes to doing a great TS they have taken over the reigns from Ctp and TCR....

I just hope this rls doesn't chop off the ending of the movie like The Day After Tomorrow, Shrek 2, Kill BILL vol2 TC, etc. I'd actually like to see an explanation WHY they can't/couldn't put together an entire film from beginning to end. Before I sound too negative, I'd love to add that this rls DOES start with a black screen and shows the small light in the distance flickering on and off to reveal the WB logo! Yes! Great! I'm so glad this was left into this TS! I loved the new, inventive, way that they started this movie off.... TY to videocd for keeping that "intro" into this copy.

I know this film ends with Harry flying into the sky on his new broom... I hope it's there.

from cd1...
8/8/9 - saw the full film in the theater

ENDING SPOILER (not a plot point)

The film ends with Harry getting a package in the "cafeteria" and then taking it outside to fly his broom off into the clouds. He flies up towards "camera/US" on the upper left... the shot closes on his face and then goes into the credits.

If this copy doesn't even have him getting onto the broom or flying on it at all in the end I don't see how the fuck they (videocd) can even call this rls a proper. This rls is not their best quality, as they stated, but it's enough to satisfy me... IF the ending is there!

I'll see....

(I couldn't wait to burn it all before posting --- pardon mwua)

empress, when you say : " I just hope this rls doesn't chop off the ending of the movie like The Day After Tomorrow, Shrek 2, Kill BILL vol2 TC, etc "

shrek 2 had ending, finished on credit,
kb2 had enciding.

The day after tomorow didn't have.

i'm agree they cut credit very fast, but whats the point to keep the credit ?
anyay, this release finish at the end when credit start, harry fly up to the sky, say something i don't remember and its become black, than a map apear and its writen harry potter bla bla bla

Posted by Krakn3Dfx on 06-08-2004 05:27 PM:

Shrek 2 didn't have the ending, yes, it started the credits, but there's another 3-4 minute scene that I won't ruin for people that happens during the credits. Only know this because I've taken my kids to see it in the theater 2 times.

Ahh well, such is life and free bootleg video.

Unhappy VideoCd seem mad at us

i saw the Uti Cam version and give that 6/6/8 only seen sample of this one and i think it much better video and audio and will give it 7/8/8... i seems that VCD might me mad at nukers for nuking there Troy on some sites, as it was White Bright, but i think that was the only decent version released. they seem to be cutting off the endings on purpose just to show their power over the sceen and how good there quality is and to tease the nukers and us to get us to d/l a crap version to see the ending... donno but i think Video cd are being crap about all this and sould just release full movies will endings as people might just not d/l from them in da future if they keep being directors and cuting the movies endings..

anyone got any other expliantion of this odd behaviour from Video CD???

Posted by parasiticgann on 06-09-2004 05:33 AM:

I just got this rls myself, Had it waiting for me when I got home, Nice treat. Sound is flawless, video is good as hell but not GREAT.

The picture, clarity is great, sound is good, but a tad zoomed it seems, So I give it a 8, and the sound is flawless, I give that a 10

So I give this rls a 8/10/9

as for this being better than the uti rls. I say MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH better, I did watch the uti rls, But man this is sooooo much better.

The endings of some telesyncs and cams have to be cut off because when people in the theater think the movie is ending they stand up to leave and block the camera.

not typical VideoCD rls as far as video quality goes. i've seen much better from them. almost feels like they were rushed on this one to rls it. great audio though.

7/8/8

Im havin a prob with cd3 too..plays fine on p.c. but when i demultiplex it to convert the audio, it seems to lose the last 13 or so minutes of video.???
Anyone else havin trouble tryin to stick it onto svcd-dvd?

Its exactly at 30:07 on cd3 (499.5mb) that something happens..i hear a high pitch click on it while i watch it on my p.c., and thats where it seems to knock off while demultiplexin, its got me well and truly stuck!
Anyone any suggestions?

Posted by delphin460 on 06-09-2004 07:23 PM:

This should be nuked as it is missing 12 rar files from cd3

the #incomplete channels are overloaded with requests for the missing rars

plz nuke it and call for a repack

if its any help to you guys i extracted the mpegs using isobuster and joined them all up using tmpeg

click file

mpeg tools

merge and gut tab

type = mpeg2 program (vbr)

add your 3 files

select destination for output file and run

you then have a nice mpeg ready for dvd conversion or just watch on your pc with power dvd

as for the guy having problems extracting cd3 i suggest getting a program called sfv checker and load the .sfv file that is in with the rar files as it sounds that you have a corrupt file

edit:

forgot to mention tha when using isobuster load up the bin file and right click the mpeg file than select extract but filter only m2f2 mpeg frames

if you need more help goto vcdhelp.com and look around the tutorials
