-- The Day After Tomorrow *SVCD* - TELECINE - TUN (http://www.vcdhq.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=41608)
I'm struggling with a lot of the comments on here, after just watching the entire movie, I am convinced it is a Telecine, no its not the best Telecine ever but is damn good.
Is it because of Tuns previous releases you are all being so hard on them, yes they have released some crap over the past few weeks but this is a good release.
I never noticed any Pixilation on my 32 inch Widescreen but then again I am not sitting a foot in front of it looking for every imperfection.
I'd welcome many more releases from Tun if they can release versions like this.
Video 9, Audio 10 (It was perfect!)
think some ppl need to sort their heads out

Very good SVCD from TUN! Nuked - why? Maybe because its good...
Video: 8 Audio: 8 Movie: who cares
No glitches, no pixelation and FULL movie - get a good burner and play it on a good DVD player and you will see.
Keep them coming TUN
IMO this is rather decent, yes, there is some pixelation but I for msyelf don't mind about it that much. Audio is good. Movie was ok, great effects and all but it lacks story-wise.

It was a hard decision, but I decided to go with the Videocd copy over this one. My reason being that the Videocd copy is only two cds, rather than the three with this release. The quality on this one is a bit better, but both releases are very watchable.

the sound is horrible. i can deal with the somewhat darkness of the picture, and some pixelation, but not the sound.
video was a bit dark, but def watchable. audio was damn perfect and crisp, dont know what you idiots are talking about.
on my copy, my screen is cropped... part where an asian dude is talking on the phone.. and there are subtitles... my subtitles are cropped?? does anyone else have this problem?? please reply!

I'd like to know why this release was nuked?
Stops before the end
Is there any version that plays to the end of the movie? 3 versions and all stop too soon
im getting it and the asian man on the phone doesnt seem valid reason for a nuke, im sure what he says doesnt really effect the film lol
amazing
i don't know how many people are still gonna read this thread but if you do don't be fooled by the nuke!
this rls is amazing, no pixelation, no blockiness, sound is great, video is crisp
theres no extreme brightness at anytime in the film, and no extreme darkness, if this had been labelled a screener i would believed it easily, i would take this over any dvd scr with b&w screens and text messages any day!
Watched all 3 cds on the standalone and it just looked incredible, nukers should actually burn and watch on their tvs like the svcds are meant to, so its blurry on your computer...burn it! then watch it! it looks awesome. More releases like this so close to theatre dates and TUN you will be great.
Also if you say oh i got the videocd rls its just as good...NOT true, this rls is perfect and not only is the brightness not there, the ending IS there, this version has the COMPLETE ending AND credits!
if you haven't got a rip of this movie yet or even if you have and want to watch it again, this rls is great, i won't even bother with a dvd scr, or dvdrip for that matter, this is just fine with me
10/10/8.5 (just because of the detailed CGI; the water effects..wow)
I ignored the nuke on this one and I've gotta say that others should do the same. If you want a copy of this film then this is the one to get. I usually don't like TUN's releases but this one is very good.
Great video, a little cropped at the bottom so you don't get the Jap guy's subtitles but it makes no difference to the rest of the movie. Audio is really nice and most importantly it actually has the end of the movie!
Put this on dvdr and it played perfectly on my standalone. Great stuff.

Good Job again TUN. I thought this release was very nice. I watched it on the tele and the pic was very nice. The sound was very clear and really filled my Home Theater System up nicely. I did have the occasional blockyness but I guess that has come to be expected from TUN.
Sorry TUN, you guys are good but you REALLY need a new encoder! Anyways, I thought the flick itself was actually pretty good. I really like the special effects put into this one. Those tornadoes coming together through downtown LA really looked sweet. Thanks Again TUN

good movie, but the release was OK.
video: 7 - alot of cigarette burns, video cropped
audio: 6 - very bassy, was it just me or did it sound like shifted-mono cause my R is getting the same thing as my L speaker, except the R is louder.
and last but not least:
movie: 10 - best movie i've seen as of lately, and Emmy Rossum (girl who played Laura Chapman) is kinda cute
.
Im kinda impressed with TUNS release of The Day After Tomorrow, Considering its TUN lol..
just fine
