Definitely the best rls of this movie by far... but that aint saying much.. I really didn't know what to think of this movie.. Honestly i only wanted it cuz i'm a Nicole Kidman fan, but the movie turned out to be suprisingly funny actually Anywayz...about the quality.. Not as good as Garfield on the pic, but thats a bright cartoon.. Pic is a lil washed and colors muted a bit.. Sound is spot on throughout...Easily watchable.. VideoCD once again the only one doing quality SVCD TS.. I hope they don't quit or the scene will be hurtin.... Enjoy this suprisingly funny film

I must be fussier than alot of people, because I wouldn't rate the video quality of this one more than a 6. Maybe even a 5 if I wasn't in a good mood.

Well you must be blind, this video deserves way more Yes its no perfect telesync like some of the previous releases because of the greenish tint, but it is greatly cropped and while watching the movie you forgot about the green tint after 5 mins, that greenish look is the only thing you can complain about on this release and well thats less then you can say of most telesync releases

2 versions

I just looked at some comments and they state that there are 2 versions of the movie on the net. The one released at the preview and in the theaters, they state the movie is diferent in many ways and the plot changes as well. Which on is this?

Watched the movie on my big screen as I do all releases.
As mentioned before, Audio is outstanding.
Picture is dark and green tinted as mentioned, can't really say for sure, but comparing to other VideoCD releases, movie must have been very dark ( kind of like Daredevil ).

Movie was only so so...having seen the original, this was not a worthy remake. Fill a remake with a cast of high profile stars and hope nobody notices it's really not that good of a movie.

Audio 9.5
Video 6
Movie 5

not very good. just finished watching this, lots of scenes missing. i counted atleast 3 times where the scene just cuts off and it skips ahead, not sure how far but definatley skips ahead. the video isnt that great, very green and dark. sound is perfect though, i'd wait for a better *complete* release if you really want to see the movie. i wonder when these guys are going to start releasing full movies, this shit is annoying...

*** Spoilers Ahead *** FULL REVIEW

ok, so I've been busy the past couple of days ... I'm sorry, but here is my full review.

The movie starts out with French credits, so you know this is going to be a good silver ... they always are, but also good news is there isn't any annoying French Subs in the movie either, like their have been in like Taking Lives, and movies like that. Starts out with Retro looking video, the colors flicker every now and again, but during her speech in the very beginning the flickering becomes more and more annoying. Now after that, it either went away, or I just got used to it, because it wasn't really noticable after that, much anyways. Decent bitrate, dark movie ... hard to encode. CD2 is definately more dark, more action and has the most "plot" of the movie ... and CD1 is light and pretty boring, why does it always work out that way.

The entire movie has a greenish tint to it, more noticable in the darker parts of the movie. It has a great cast, a pretty big one ... Glenn Close, Nicole Kidman, Matthew Broderick, Christopher Walken, the lady from The View ... a bunch of Cameo's ... it makes the movie. I don't know what I was expecting, but when Nicole Kidman knocked off Walken's head, that was unexpected to say the least. Glenn Close really does play an awesome crazy bitch. Great acting in this movie ... just weird, not sure if I liked it, or not ... as a whole I mean, there are good parts, and retarded parts, just like any movie. I guess, the ending was pretty good, with all the guys having to do the shopping and all, so I guess I would have to give the movie about a 7. Kept me entertained.

Video = 7 (would have been better without the color flickers and the greenish-tint)
Audio = 9 (no flaws really, nice bass, kinda corny soundtrack ... )

all-in-all the best release out, as mentioned by almost all ... will definately hold over until the DVD-R, or SVCD whichever people prefer. And to all those people who bitch in the forum, GROW UP, I don't care how old you are, and what past releases have been nuked, just review the release, and stick to that. If you got issues, use the PM feature of the forum, it works wonders. kthx

Not bad. Not as good as some of the other VideoCD releases, but all-in-all pretty good.

I downloaded the movie and can't get it to play in any type of media players.

Gspot couldn't even render it, except to show that it was a mpeg.

SVC check says no file to any of them, but has a checksum. The files themselves show that they are good and a checksum. Go figure!

Where are you guys downloading from? I got this one from IRC.

Video - 7
Audio - 7
Movie - 6

Well finally got around to watching this and there's quite a few dark parts where it's hard to see what's happening until the scene brightens, but overall nice quality.
Audio through my headphones seems to have an underlying 'hum' but it's not noticeable on the standalone.
As for the movie itself, I found it mildly amusing in parts, patronising overall (which is it's intent) and unfulfilling on the whole. Glad I didn't waste £15 at the flea-pit for it.
