Wow what speed.. I knew this rls would be rushed.. but 2 cds for Spiderman 2 which clocks in at over 2hours + just don't seem right.. Pic is very vibrant and sometimes dark.. new intro Videocd is kinda kewl...just like XPD.. they've earned it...PROPS on excellent SVCD TS... i'm sure someone will try and top it and a non real TC will come out.. but do yourself a favor go see in the theatre 1st.. Not a big fan of Doc Oc and plot drags at times, but alot to cover and its done very well.. I loved the movie..
8/8/9.5
I want the 3cd Internal as well.. LOL like it won't be everywhere if they rls it..
can't wait for DVDSCR or higher.. Best movie of Summer
!!!
Very good quality 9.5/10/9. I didn't notice much cropping, except in the credits. The blacks were crisp, but a little bright. Overall one of the best telesyncs I've seen by VideoCD.
Great movie, great quality. Thx, frogs!
8/9/9

Great movie, overall. The quality's pretty good, it's pretty hard to see during the dark parts, but overall a really good release. During the intro, you'd notice that it's kinda zoomed in, but you can't really tell that much while you're watching the movie. Great release, specially it being out a day after the opening and all.
maybe my mpeg2 codecs suck, but i saw ALOT of frequent video artifacts in the stream, example:

anyone else see these? show up and last for 1 frame, but appear frequently

is it me, or was there something missing between disc 1 & 2? Disc 2 jumps to the scene where Peter is talking to his uncle.

Maybe my sound system is messed up... I don't know. But, for me the audio goes down very low and then up again. Very strange. It does it in a sequence... down-up... down-up.... etc...

VCD is just unreal these days. I don't even bother looking
at the samples anymore.. you know it's gonna be good.
video: 8.5
audio: 8
movie: 8
I was waiting for a decent copy of this before I watched it (Live in the UK not out till mid July) I had to wait a day.
One of the best TS's this year.
8.5/9/8.5
I loved the film it slightly desynced on powerdvd, was fine in media player and on my xbox.
A pity Sam Raimi's not doing the 3rd film.
VideoCD's little intro was cool as well

spiderman 2 svcd videocd
Just watched the whole movie last night and I say 9/9/10 thanx to VIDEO CD for a great release so quickly
ok videocd u keep coming with the goods so i say thank you again
so this 3cd version can anyone tell me what difference it will make to this great release?
Hmmmm. Well, after watching it on my standalone, without giving anything away, let me say that in the sequel, quite a few "loose ends" were taken care of. Also, they opened it wide up for a 3rd one. Movie was good. I liked Doc Ock better than the Goblin, but that's cuz I'm a CGI whore. The octo arms were SUPER sweet. Molina did a good job as Doc Ock. The movie was decent. I'd say about a tie with the 1st one in terms of excitement, but the effects pushed this one over the edge as being better to me.
The video quality was good, but a tad dark and brown. Just a TAD this time. Used TMPGEnc Plus to clean it up some. Release was not the best the VideoCD has put out, but it's definitely in the upper half in terms of quality. "Shrek 2", "Mean Girls", "New York Minute" were all MUCH cleaner in quality than this one. I would've thought that they would've gone the extra mile and sent out a bit of a cleaner version, since this was such a huge movie in terms of popularity.
Video 7
Audio 8
Movie 8

"Agent Smith" (and cloned virii cohorts)
"The Matrix Reloaded"
looking at the bins in VLC .. slight tilt .. nice video, great audio
8/9/?
btw, Sam IS directing the 3rd installment and Toby will star (according to Toby on Howard Stern this morning)
OutStanding Thats all that needs to be said. 9/9/9
7/9/8
Great picture but a lot of green artifacts popping up here and there, would have been an 8 or 9 for picture had Video CD not raised the bar so high on Telesyncs
Audio was perfect, Film was better then the first. Been left WIDE open for a third, still think Spidey looks way to blatently CGI Glossy when he's flyinf around. Doc Ock ruled and the Newspaper Editor had even more funnier lines this time.
9/8/7
artifacts were barely noticable for me. audio seemed a bit faint. still videocd is doing a great job!
i liked that intro they made.
Just got this release, I say 8/8/9
Great picture and audio, and loved the film (well from what I could see, had to watch the POT release to view it all).
I had a serious problem with mine, when I went to convert the flick the first CD was split into 2 parts (BTW I am using VCDGear), then after converting it fully using TMPGenc the whole thing seemed to be messed up, when the opening credits are playing the movie freezes on this one frame of Spiderman and stays like that all the way through even though the audio keeps playing. Does anybody know what I have done wrong? And how to fix it? Would really like to see the start without having to watch the POT release aswell
