sigh, please read before typing. i think everyone here except you and zad, knows the difference between a DTS track on a dvd and a DTS source from a theater. direct sound could mean a jack in a seat used, and that's hardly the same as using a DTS disc and muxing is it?

What sample have I been watching?

What sample have I been watching? I dunno, but the sample is kinda green and blurry. What's up with everyone giving the video an 8??? Should some of the better VideoCd and Centropy releases get a freaking 15 then? On a scale of 10, no way this is an 8. You guys must have real low expectations

True, now it makes sense. If i take a plain audio tape and copy a 5.1 digital disc audio track i will have 5.1 digital on the tape. It will play back as 5.1 too on my stereo system. Makes perfect sense to me now, thanks.

Quote from Sleepover.SVCD.TELESYNC-POT.nfo

" NOTE - each CD has 1 bin & 1 cue file but if you extract the mpeg from the bins you will notice 2 mpeg files per CD (remember the old TCR movies?, just like theirs) We didnt want to do it this way but due to a bad frame and fix, we had to split the mpeg into 2 to keep the movie in sync. There is no movie loss as CD1 ends on frame 72259 and CD2 starts on frame 72260."

Could be the same issue or maybe it is because they had to mark the audio..

Yeah, I like how they sampled the scene that resolves all the questions in the move.

The nasty tint really ruins this one... Thanks for the effort POT, but I do hope someone "steals" your audio and syncs it over a nicer cam like you suggested they might in the first release's nfo.

Posted by Redemption198 on 07-19-2004 12:38 AM:

Damn stupid sample, did they mean that.

I think this is OK, the pic is blurry and strange looking, but watchable enough, not really an improvement from the VCD version though.

Sound is overrated, if this is from a DTS disc then, then they've messed up the encode to mp2 as this isn't as good as the sound on VideoCD's Spiderman2, which is the best TS audio yet.

6/7/8

Posted by vip3r on 07-19-2004 12:52 AM:

Good release .. not much more to say that hasn't been said already.

7/9/8

Posted by crapper on 07-19-2004 01:09 AM:

k
i guesse by now everyone that wants the know bout it knows

but this isnt an amazing release
its fast.
its watchable
but its not amazing

its not a dv cam job

the sound is good

the picture is cropped and well washed out. and grainy. so not that good

if i'd give ctp an 8 i'd give this one an 5.5
cuase its watchable .. but i dont wanna see this movie this way.

so right now goto the cinema's
and see it there

sound great
vision not so great

Posted by Debo on 07-19-2004 02:43 AM:

its interesting that in the full release the audio seems much better then the sample
but the pic is much shittier

quality sux a lot dont kno what yall r thinkin =\ 4/5/8

Posted by RUiNU on 07-19-2004 06:03 AM:

I'm not stevie wonder but I can rate this above a 5. I would think stevie would rate it a 0 for being to dark. <<<---Joke!! Pic was fine but too green (washed out). I didnt notice it being blurry, just grainy. Sound was good, sounded like it was direct. Movie was cool, not great but entertaining.

7/9/7.5

BTW All the peeps that gave the video below a 5 are just peeps that like to stur up crap. Please rate this, dont bash it.

Posted by Pickles on 07-19-2004 06:46 AM:

Man this shit is worse than the proper. Green tint all the way through. And what is with everyone saying the sound is better. It isn't that much better. Played on stand alone dvd player (yes I wasted 2 cd's). Stick with the proper or FRA if you have it. This is not that much better. However, it is still watchable if you must have.

Peace
