bah stick with videocd if you have it no need for this release its a hair better then videocds but damn not worth the 3 cd download for me .... 8/8/6 good rip but .. for what ?

Smile

7/7/8

This is definately not the best Telecine I have ever seen. But it's not the worst either. The pic is pretty much o.k. There is some pixelation, but it's not that bad. Not really noticable. The sound however sounded a little muffled on my Home Theater system. Especially at the very first of the movie. Of course everyone likes the movie. I think it's awesome. I have always liked Spiderman though Anyways Thanks Alot for this Nice release ALLiANCE Keep Up The GOOD Work!

Funny and true. And they say that i'm mean
Anyways if you have the 3 cd set from videocd i don't see why you would get this one. Just wait until the dvd comes out. If you don't have any of them. This is the one to get. Best of the bunch(but not by alot).

Agreed. Pic seems nice on my dvd player, but audio is sure to hell not dts source.. That or they fucked up bigtime.. Its muffled and sounds hollow, especially during music. It just doesnt sound right. Not sure how to explain... So A) they got a bad DTS, B) this isnt DTS C) they did a fuckup or something... Anyhow still not bad but could be much better with added work, and a bit of delay on releasing.... As i say, why the fucking the rush.... Races might win you the notability, but fast and lazy work also gets a sour reward... So stop worrying about who wins for once, and just worry about doing it right... this is true for a lot of groups.

Side note, i finished watching... The audio also fluctuates as well.. so just to further my idea this might not be a real dts source... True dts from the real would be constant, and not go from high to low and so on.. that or as stated, it was poorly done.

I caught myself not too impressed by the samples except on the light ones. You could see a great color difference. So I finally got the full release. Took forever!!! But I did notice some distortions during the audio especially in the intro. But after Burning and placing on the television. Man the pic looked f..king great. A big difference from the pc monitor. As after placing the audio coming from the stereo. The distortions turned out to be bass boost that sounded like glitches on the pc speakers. Overall this is a very nice release. And rather if anyone wants to admit it. Its better than both videocd releases. I have the 2cd and the 3cd internal. And overall this is the one to get. Just for a collectors item until a dvdr is released months from now.

A Keeper.

9/9/10 movie was great.

I didn't take the time to read all of the posts here, but I read a good amount of them. And I'm gonna say I'm going to disagree with alot of people on this release.

Video: 6

Pixelated, Blocky, and I know alot of you are going to disagree with me on this... but I really think VidoeCD's release has better colors than this one. The colors in this release are too washed, or dull. However it's better than VideoCD's release for a few obvious reasons. True, full widescreen, not cropped, no tilt, dark scenes are easier to see, and no little trail on movements like Telesyncs always have because of the framerate. Usually these kinds of videos look better on the TV, I don't think it looked too much better.

I really think if the colors on this release were better, and the picture wasnt so blocky and pixelated, it would be a much better release.

Audio: 7

A bit quiet ... in the beginning of the movie, it's pretty hissy in some parts, especially on the computer. Not sure if anyone else noticed this ... but compared the VCD's release, the audio seemed slightly off pitch, unless I'm just hearing things.

Movie: 9

Very good I thought, the CGI was excellent in most parts, a few obvious parts where it was pretty messed up, overall a very good movie. Some corney parts, but a very good storyline. Can't wait to see the next one!!

I know a lot of you will disagree with me, but this is just my opinion Full of debates

SpiderMan.2.SVCD.TELESYNC-VideoCD
good first release, tilted, washed colors, PAL, and excellent audio (oh yeah, and squares poping up everywhere)

Spider.Man.2.TC.Line.Dubbed.German.SVCD-EMPiRE
german cam audio, rendered 16:9, PAL, and has an encoder screen at the beginning of the movie (dunno exactly what that was)

Spiderman.2.TELECINE.SVCD-ALLiANCE
great colors, good audio, NTSC, and definatly the best release out. No flaws in the video I see. Has complete begining and all credits. Glad it wasn't internal.

Failed to mention the Internal VideoCD 3cd rls. No squares popping up on that version...

Nobody has yet to say this TC rls is great so I'll hold off and live with the VideoCD Internal till a dvd source comes.

Thumbs down

This release was closed when VideoCD released it a few weeks ago (and won hands down). The quality was good enough till DVD release so can't see a reason to downloading this one.

man some of you people are morons

Burned this and watched on standalone... and I have to say, the people talking about the colors of this being worse than VideoCD's... you all are either full of shit, judging fuckin jpegs on yer crappy ass 6 year old e-machine, or just plain blind. Hell, maybe it's all of the above considering half the peeps here must be under 15.

The colors on this one are pretty nice. It does have a bit of a "faded" look to it, and is grainy - but hell, that's same you are gonna get from a VHS Screener for the most part.

The audio is spot on. The picture is most definately the best picture available.

This release is justified. In fact, I would go so far to say that the majority of releases PERIOD are justified. You guys who complain about every fuckin release need to step away from the PC and go discover girls. And BTW - none of us here give a fuck if you are waiting for another group to release, or waiting for a DVDr.... this is for posting fuckin REVIEWS people... you all do know how to write REVIEWS don't ya? That's when you EXPLAIN the quality of the audio, video, and the movie...not telling us how small yer penis is.

About right

So 7/7/9 this is the release to get

First post, so go easy on me!

Working in a projection booth I hear this film every day for longer than I can estimate!

The sound pitch is definately too low/slow. Not sure how that is if the sound was transferred direct from the SR analog or SRD digital during the telecine?

But overall very good picture and sound when viewed on standalone.

8/8/10

8/8/3 - Great quality - shit film

Did anyone else have about 4 instancies of audio cutting out for 1/2 a sec, mite be my compiling or intentional to shift it back into sync ?

Posted by Inise on 07-28-2004 04:03 AM:

got this a while ago...but becuz of the bashing that it was not that great didn't rush to unpack. well, just did unpack and have to say this is a very NICE TC. BEST RELEASE OUT YET!.

9/8/7

Posted by boomstick75 on 07-29-2004 07:24 PM:

Solid Release

A good solid release as far as the video..some artifacts, but not horribly noticeable=8.5

Definitely heard some audio distortion and agree on minor sync problems=8

Overall movie=9

I do believe that this is a re-encode. There is evidence of the kind of interlacing that comes from re-encoded material. Usually I notice this when encoding to dvd, and prone to see more ghosting, than the interlacing, which suggest re-encoding on this one. Still a solid release in my opinion and looks pretty nice on my standalone.

Posted by djj on 08-03-2004 09:18 AM:

It's solid release. Maybe not the best TC ever but still very watchable...

7/9/5
