Lord of the Rings was made by the same bafoon who did the likes of Bad Taste and Meet the Feebles. The LOTR films were not "awesome," in any sense other than special effects, and even that had a few serious flaws. The story of King Arthur has been around far far longer than LOTR, so how can it be a "copy." These type of movies has been around for years. I know this is not exactly the right forum for this discussion, but I didn't start it. I had to say something because I've had about enough of LOTR lemmings who can't see past the title and realize how Mr. Jackson ruined something which in the right hands could have TRULY been "awesome."

Pity he didn't spend a little more time trying to make more than a special effects extravaganza. Instead we get good actors not being allowed to act because of crappy direction. We see the Fellowship running across country, one stops briefly to say a stupid line, then runs some more. But what gets me the most is in the end of the third film where the camera pulls back and the hobbits look dwarfed by effects no better than the original King Kong. Clearly, someone was running out of time and imagination to allow that horrible scene. But, I'm done with this subject now. This ain't the place for it and I apoligize to the others who are here to talk about Cat Woman, a film for which at this time I have no opinion.

I like Hale Barry, I like cats, I like silly superhero/action movies.
Video is excellent quality for a cam though cropped so much they could have added "edited for TV".
Audio is camish but has better bass than average and less hiss. Kind of a reverberating effect though. Crowd is annoyingly loud and talkative but I found it amusing to make fun of them.

Based on being a CAM 8/7/6 and very watchable if you don't want to wait. Good work NOX.

It's all to sell combo meals at fast food places. How many Orlando Bloom cans of Mountain Dew or whatever did you see after he did that fancy non-tolkienesque elephaunt slaying?
Elrond's sons... thats all I have to say.

Back on topic.
First few minutes have some dude's head in it. Not very good angle either. Dark and tinny.
But, it's a cam. I'll take it for free.

5.5/5/3

if this film was worth more than 2/10 i wouldn't take it more offtopic...

but peter jackson directed, wrote and coproduced "Heavenly Creatures", which imo is his best work, and probably one of the best films i've seen. that says it all.

8/5/5

this movie was the biggest piece of shit ive seen in a long time. the movie was just plain awful, effects look so shitty, and halles not even playin herself half the time when shes flyin around haha, its some dude man that sucks bigtime. as for this release, theres some idiot in the way for a lil bit in the beginning, then theres the laughter and such, i heard some coughing too. video was pretty damn good, especially for the pre. too bad the movie ranks up there as one of the worst.

as a cam: 7.5/7

movie: 1

Every day I ask myself why?

most of the world, the academy awards and numerous other ppl disagree with you, fellowship i do agree was a little stop start run, cut to panoramic ad nauseum, but to say the sfx are awful boggles my mind. Firstly it was a little NZ effects company that did this, not some ILM "we do this shit for breakfast" crew. Secondly the fight with the cave troll in FOTR is in my mind one of the single most impressive peices of action/CGI intergrated cinema i have ever seen. I dont think the effects were overdone or underdone, as for lacking imagination...imagine this..you have a budget ur making three movies back to back, studio takes risk and gambles on something that could ultimatly mean lights out. Well sorry if everything cant be PREFECT, do u have any idea how much sfx shots cost?? and the time it takes to produce them. it takes longer to do effects shots that it does to complete principal photography, 3 yrs in post production roughly for that movie.

now ur either one of those freaky tolkien purists, in which case there's no reasoning with you, ur bible is sacred and ur considerd hard line extremists.

Or u r just really over opinionated.

but so am i i guess, but calling someone a bofoon, err ok

oh and to get on topic...this movie really really sucked major ass i watched 10 mins with the wife and thought fuck that and went n played far cry

anyway i dont know where to ask but
has VideoCD been busted?

I don't know if they got busted. I read in one of their last nfo files that they were going away for awhile, no reason given, but said they'd be back someday. Then I read in these forums that they lost their cammer, which, I guess, could mean somebody got busted, like say...oh...the cammer? I don't know, but I wish they'd come back soon.

I don't remember, and maybe I'm mental and confusing them with another group's nfo that I read. Sorry to be misleading on that point - more I think about it, the more I'm thinking I was wrong about that one. Thanks for calling me on it. But, I do know that somewhere in these forums someone said they lost their cammer.

7/4/5

Posted by Stuart49 on 07-25-2004 06:39 PM:

Not bad picture but very squint and cropped with big heads popping up all over the place..Audio is pretty hollow but ok watchable if you want to see the film badly which I personally don't

Video 5
Audio 5
Movie ?

Posted by oppman29 on 07-25-2004 06:57 PM:

the movie is too dark, sounds is really bad, you can hear the people laughing on the background there is some heads at the beggining of the movie like first 10 minutes. The cam has the worse of angles. The movie doesnt suck as much as people say, i mean come on its a Woman super hero cut her some slack. My vote 3-3-6

Posted by [RaZoR] on 07-26-2004 02:17 PM:

cropped a lot but quite sharp and colorful picture
audio..well its a cam

Hmm not so sure about this one, colours are good, movies mildly entertaining but the sound to me had way to much audience partisipation, got to piont where i coudnt tell if it was the crowd or the movie.
Still for a first it will do.
