whats the difference between this and Cellular.SVCD.TELESYNC.iNTERNAL-EwDp
is it worth getting that latter ?

EwDp release is not that good... kinda hollow audio sound.. seems more like a re-encode of the cam.. or same source as the FRA cam

when converting to dvd cd1 and 2 went out of sync
using a 5ms audio delay seem to work for me

this release is watchable, i watched the whole thing w/ no complaints.

Video: 7 - not as clear as Maven's releases but its watchable and u can see what is going on.

Audio: 8 - Its clear, nothing is misunderstood, it is Direct Audio!

Movie: 8 - Very interesting movie, wasnt as predictable as i thought it would be, i really liked this one, it reminds me of Phonebooth in the sense that the guy cannot hang up because someones life is on the line. Its worth checking out!

Overall, nice release... though, picture quality could've been a little better.

Video - 6 (Better than FRA's release, but still a bit blurry and dark. It's completely watchable, just could've been better.)

Audio - 8 (Very good sound... loud and powerful. I did notice it occasionally going out of sync, but this is very slight.)

Movie - 6 (This one's worth watching. Pretty good movie.)

I guess it'll do for now.

As stated before the video was a little blury and dark at times. The real problem with this release is I noticed the end of CD1 and CD 2 are out of sync quite a bit. The movie itself I thought was pretty good.

IMO: Should have been nuked for sync problem.

I noticed that there is an anoying Sound like a horn every so many seconds anyone else have that or just me?

Anyone that gave this movie a quality rating 8 or above has been spending too much time in front of the boob tube and needs to go to an eye examiner. Come on people this release was horrible.

The video was real dark, grainy and blurry... standard flicker... audio was out of synch and levels were too high, it also seemed cropped as many scenes the actors head were cut off...

Here should be the rating system... forget all the other formats the standard benchmarks are DVD, VHS and CAMs. Everyone in the world knows (at least on this forum) the difference between them.

DVD - 8-10
VHS - 5-7
CAM - 3-7


So this release compares to a crappy VHS tape... with bad audio

V - 5.5
A - 6
M - Movie looks good I am waiting for a better release so as not to torture myself with this crappy release.

This is actually not a bad movie. I thought it was very entertaining and kept me and my Lady on the edge of our seats. fbC did a pretty good job on this one, I thought. This is definately one of the best releases I have ever seen from them. The Video really isnt that good though. It's Very grainy and washed and I noticed Hella artifacts and macro-blocking in it,so its difficult to see during any scene that has some action or fast moving things but fortunately its still watchable. The Audio on the other hand is pretty darn good. It sounded very nice on my Home Theater System. I did, however, have a pretty good bit of out-of-syncness throughout the entire movie. I was constantly hitting the pause button and stopping and resuming trying to get the audio back in sync with the video. Anyhow, I still think this release is Very watchable indeed. The movie itself was actually pretty good too. Very suspenseful flick here yall. It should keep ya on the edge of your seat too!

good release...hopefully a proper or svcd will be released...movie was actually pretty damn good..haven't seen basinger do a distress woman role since batman...nice film, welll written..

Reality Is Only A State Of Mind...

i have this release and its watchable but quite blurry 5/6/-

video - 3. It's a mislabelled cam! one can see what is happening, but it just doesn't look good. plus it's a videocd, not SVCD, so they reduced the quality even more by using mpeg1. plus half the screen is cut off, they cut off Basinger's head! lol

audio - 9. I was positively surprised - very good audio, good volume level and NOT hollow. audio has TS quality

movie itself - 9. It's a great movie! very intelligent. I don't understand why so many people say it's bad. Maybe because most people watch it on the surface, instead of reading between the lines. In fact this movie is not about corrupt cops, trying to destroy the evidence, but about

a) coming off age - a young boy is guided into adulthood by a mature woman

b) about the breakdown of communication in advanced technological capitalist society, presented in ironic light, because a means of communication (a cellphone) is used throughout the film, but communication is not properly established notwithstanding this fact.

The same theme was at the centre of the Cellular's script writer's previous film - Phone Booth - remember? Was a great movie, and Cellular is worthy watching too. Don't miss it!

Hey i know this is pretty late but i finally watched this release last night.

V: 7 - decent but cd 2 out of sync :'(
A: 7 - It was fine
V: 2 - Movie dragged on, i was watching late at night and when it finally went to cd 2 i was like WTF another 40 minutes of this crap? Fell asleep and woke up just when it ended. Ill watch the ending just for a good laugh.
