9/8/10 apparently a group called w4r have done a release dont know if this is true tho
Video is glitchy in places like stated before, and the the audio goes out of sync in spots... Hopefully we can get a proper soon. As for the red tint, the movie is kindof in a red tint being as this is the darkest of the Star Wars movies, so I dont know if thats the reason why, but the actual movie does have a red tint...
Video: 8
Audio: 8
Movie: 8.5
Hopefully someone fixes this up or a proper/repack (whichever would solve the problem) is released.
Nice work, TUN...
Looks nice to me, still got that orangey/red tint to it, and its a bit dark, but it was dark at the theatre too, but overall very nice release.
Audio is good, but not as nice a Stereo signal as the WP.
8/7/10
We are being spoiled with this film though, a WP on its opening night and a decent TC within a few days, and No dodgy cams or TS for this film hopefully now
nice rls..i prefer this to the wp
8/8/9
how can you say this is not any better than the workprint copy...not even close this is far better quality

awesome quality on the TV. i don't care if its not perfect AR or bad cropping, or off by a ms on cd 3. it's far better than the WP.

counter vs red pic and sync problems
Im not really sure what to pick, I know counters are annoying but 2 times through (once on a tv with Noise reduction built in (that was really good looking on a 27") and in my room on my small 15" which was still good, but I then saw the flaws in the video) I can say when you get into any movie with counters, you look past them, and watch the movie not the time ticking, but it always gets distracting once in a while, The TC, red and random sync problems... well the color can be changed through the TVs so thats not that bad, but sync? thats a slight problem. so you have the toss up slight pixelation and timer vs in/out of sync and miscolered even with adjustments... also cropping. Im just not sure, I would keep the TC if it was done right, but its not so either one will do fine until an internal TC that is correct (now would be proper or hell just a re release sound is nice on WP but obviously its a nuke soundtrack no other than the original have synced it right) or dvdsc... well no not from lucas.. so til a dvd rip have fun waiting =c)... this rls I give a 7/8/9 movie is awesome from a non star wars fan point
what more can be said about this release other than could it be possible they used the WP audio which we know had syncing problems if remuxed and here again cd3 is having the exact same issues
just a thought
Rofl-0z at the Cyrillic crawl.
Yeah, it's cropped a little.
Here's a comparison between this and WP cropping:

Sample looks sick
10/10/10!!!!!!
The workprint was obviously dumped quickly the issues with AR and Timers aside the "VISA" release has gotten huge exposure, Be happy that the work print got out!
The workprint has been added to my collection of rare early edition movies.
I dont think its getting much better cropping the star wars universe is always stealing details from the set and surrounds.
This release gets solid 8/8/9.5
P.S This RLS looks nice on a projector screen.

Video is a tad red like already sad.
Sound is very nice.
Movie is the best seen it twice already and again next weekend

Darn I got all happy and downloaded this one, but turns out the Workprint has better audio, much brighter picture and isnt cropped as much, The only advantage this release has is the lack of counters onscreen.
Comparison shot I made:

From the sample, the TC is definitely darker, and I did think that the audio was superior to the Workprint. Both look like good releases, imo.
Would it be possible to take the slice of video from the TC and overlay the timers of the Workprint? Possibly blur the edges of the slice of video, bump the brightness up and merge the two to try to get the best of both worlds?
I think the Russian theater had Russian Subs, thats why the bottom is cropped so much. Over all not-bad, aside from the flaws.

Will wait for the DVD

and i can't say the workprint is missing any scenes.
I can't say for 100% because there was so much going on some minor scenes might have slipped thru, but as far as i can tell it wasn;t missing anything.
Nice job,.... and thanx to TUN for the 1st TC...
i didnt find the sync issue that big of a deal,.. even on a 60" screen,... maybe too much engrossed in the Flik,.. it's a great movie...
9/8/9.5

This is nice, but not their best for TCs. It does have a red tint to it and I can deal with it. It is a bit dark, but still, it's good without the counter. I'm glad to have both and that's enough for me.

I'm waiting until I see a better one. This isn't even worth the time it takes to grab it.
