Excellent quality but the movies is erm, errrrr... Poor?

It's not a bad movie as such, just stupidly far-fetched to the point where I almost pissed myself laughing. It's full of huge plot holes and half the time makes fuck-all sense but if you just want a summer popcorn flick that you can turn your brain off to - try this (it's like a live action Team America!)

V - 7
A - 8
M - 6 (I liked the "badness" ok?)

Nice quality, movie was dumb but fun and I enjoyed it.

7/8/6

^ Says it all

M - 4

Read somewhere ... someone was compairing "Stealth" to Top Gun meets Flight of the Navigator and that wraps up this movie perfectly. Lots of unbelieveable action and plots that drug on, im sure the summer teens will love it .... when retail comes out it will be something to watch on a rainy day.

Your missing a good 30 to 40 minutes , dont want to spoil anything for ya ... but your missing quite a bit.

Posted by fluffinator on 08-04-2005 03:55 AM:

lol, technically missing alot of actual minutes and "plot turns"

but as for actual content, not much

Reitterating again, great release of garbage for a movie.

All the Maya 3d cocpit zooms can't save it.

Only way to prove this, is with a visual.

You may have to hit refresh, vcdq dont like links sometimes.

I understand how the movie was originally shot aspect, but this is squished a tad.

watched this on the TV last night...

quality is superb, one of the better TC's I've seen in a while.
Video is sharp and the colors are great. Aspect ratio is ok if
your 16:9 tv supports various modes, on my toshiba wide1 looked
"almost" spot on.

Audio is perfect as well.

The movie? quite possibly the worst piece of trash i've seen in
a long time.. Shame we get TC's of junk like this with some good
films lurking out there with only cams. Still great job prodigy..
keep it up.

v:8.5
a:8.5

video has nice coloring and everything just blurry as hell and eye screeching. Overall its needs a major repack or recode.

7/9/8 movie was actually kind of good.

hehe yeah that's a great comparision. Key difference being, I think stealth was actually trying to be taken seriously, where as Team America was basically trey & matt asking themselves:
why do the censor boards and movie companies keep letting us make movies?

Then answering, fuck knows, lets just make the most over the top crappy, dick and fart joke movie ever, then laugh at the suckers paying to see it.

I loved team america, and i'm growing to actualy like stealth now.

It's fun, you make it a drinking game, everytime you spot a plot hole, take a drink :P

Ok, there are 3 basic methods for converting PAL to NTSC

the patch method, with no encoding, just opening the ifo of a dvd and telling it it's ntsc not pal.

This works in some stand alones, and is the basis for most of the stand alones that play both ntsc and pal.

There is the frame rate conversion, which, when you stop and think about it, kills it.

You are taking a 25 fps file and converting to 23 or 29 fps. Frames are being removed/added

Movies on PAL DVDs play back 4% faster than their NTSC counterparts. The great majority of people will never notice this, but for a small minority, this is an intolerable artefact.

Theres also the "3 -2 pull down" method

The net effect of this is that any image pan is not smooth, but takes place in a series of uneven steps, an artefact known as judder. As with PAL's 4% speed-up, the great majority of people will never notice this artefact, but for a small minority, this is intolerable. Personally, I find this artefact all but intolerable and find it very hard to watch a movie on an NTSC DVD because of it.

Simply, some might not notice the problems, others will. The fact of the matter, no matter what method you use, you are losing quality on that movie.

And a fast paced, action movie like this one, I can't even attempt to watch it like that, I just stick with my s-video out and let VLC deal with it.

quote:
PAL being 25 FPS closest framerate to actual film produces a way better quality picture than NTSC ever would.. and as for ctp, they used french CANADIAN sources im pretty certain. It's not nice to bitch about FREE releases.

Yup, and guess what, I'm canadian, and canada uses NTSC. As stated a billion times before, to the point that i'm ricking being banned.

I NEVER COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS RELEASE. I complained about the lack of info in their NFO, dats it.

When the majority of releases have been NTSC, it would be common sense to atleast put that in your nfo, NTSC or PAL. The time it takes the groups to put their "fuck yous" and such, they coulda plopped PAL in there and saved alot of people wasted discs.

As I stated a few times here, I'd PREFER PAL, much higher quality, and for the most part, always play and look better. (with the exception of a few I've downloaded)

All I asked was to be informed, seeing as all groups include an NFO with their release, only fitting to put some actualy INFO in it.

/end rant , ignoring any further posts on this subject as for people apparently can't read the post they are trying to flame

ok, I know I'm late, but I just got my access back so I can see these again(never pay bills late, y'all). Anyway:

Video - 9
I swear to God I thought I was watching a retail DVD for a minute(although there was a green like substance around, too). Picture is awesome. Lovin' the TC's as of late.

Audio - 9
I had to re-check the audio. On my TV with the stereo hooked up it sounds great, but on my computer with the 2.1, it sounds awesome. Great job on the audio, guys!

Movie - 6
It wasn't bad, but it wasn't that good either. I was really dissapointed with how they did "that one dude". Movie seemed like i,Robot meets Top Gun, but could've been better.
