I have watched plenty of 'nuked' movies and there were perfectly fine.
What's the point?

NOT really, but to be honest i would rather respect a group for being honest and stop l;ieying for fuck sake.

why have there been so many bloody grouops claimed tc when their ts or even a bloody cam?

hell if you lot that dont give a shit and have bandwith to waste and time to burn then fine, but i prefer to know what im getting when downloading and not finding the quality of the film is a cam when i was expecting a tc .

the tc (ts) xvid by asteriods is better though in my opion

can sum1 pls for and for all tell me da diff between a TS and a TC......!!!!
pls.....!

Posted by Methadon on 10-30-2005 11:42 PM:

Well, I think this was mislabeled as a TC because this is looking like (from sample) a REALLY GOOD TS, which we haven't seen much of lately. Will post my ratings when I'm done seeing the movie.

Syncing ?

you guys have been talking bout syncing does it happends like 5 times thhrought the movie or constantlyso far this looks liek the best quality jsut want to be sure about the syncing Before i do anything else

Posted by thredworm on 10-31-2005 02:20 AM:

Nice release overall.

8/7/6

Movie really isn't as bad as all that. Depends if you like no-brainer movies with lots of guns. If you do then you can take it for what it is.

Posted by jrw on 10-31-2005 02:29 AM:

Sorry but this is not a Telecine, if it was then why is it so cropped, also the overall video quality is not that great and the Audio has random sync issues, I have better quality VHS movies.

6/7/7

Yes, this is the second release to have the same 'drifting' audio track that goes in and out of sync in several places, they obviously 'borrowed' the same dts disc that the ts used. I honestly dont understand why they would use the same audio known to have sync problems. (it also drops off completely during the closing scenes/credits, which suggests that they didn't even have a copy of the original audio, more like they were given it by another group, or even took it straight from the other release)

Anyway, dispite that, video is decent and clear, cropped a bit, not too dark at all. Audio is pretty good, clear and defined. Was gonna watch this release but the film doesn't interest me enough to put up with the drifting.

7/5

CAM - basically just a guy who uses either regular or professional camcorder to shoot the movie either from TV or actually inside a movie theatre (in most copies you can actually see and hear the audience as well).

Telesync - a copy which was shot in an empty cinema or from the projection booth with a professional camera, directly connected to the sound source, these are generally very good quality.

Telecine - done in various ways, but normally it includes process where the movie is taken directly from the reel to digital format and then encoded into DVD-R, VCD, SVCD, DivX or XviD format. The most common way is to get a device that you attach to the projector that generates a copy of the reel (called a telecine machine).

Screener - a copy made from either VHS tape or from DVD-Video disc that are sent to movie critics and censors before the movie is available to public through video rental chains. Normally a very good quality copy, some times a copyright message appears on the screen.

Work-Print - Each frame of the film is copied from celluloid (or another source); these are sometimes incomplete movies (i.e. time coded), usually high quality but it can vary.

LD/DVDRip - copy made directly from a DVD-Video disc and the quality is typically excellent.

::EDIT:: All of this is in the site's FAQ - NS::
::EDIT:: I didn't know there were FAQ's here .. apparently others didn't know either LOL ..Thanks

NOT a TC. It's a TS. Clearly given away by the dodgy audio and the wonky end credits.

Nice quality TS tho.

FFS enough with the current trend of mislabeled TC's though.

As for this movie. Fuck watching it, no thanks.

Nope, sorry. A telesync is identical to a cam in every aspect except it has a direct audio source. A telesync can be shot inside the theatre and you can quite commonly see people shifting about.

...and how many tv groups cap programs by pointing a video camera at the tv?!?

Posted by diavolo23 on 10-31-2005 11:55 PM:

Doom

I just finished watching this version and the dialogue was out of sync. Did this happen to anyone else?

Posted by xjules on 11-01-2005 01:45 AM:

Couple of things.
Now I'm no hardcore scener or anything (I'm not some lamer bittorrent kid but I have absolutely nothing FTP-wise, which is what counts) but I do know a bit about the state of the scene today and about video in general, and last I heard DTS-2 hadn't been cracked yet. So the poster above who said Prodigy used the same DTS source as some other group was wrong... it's probably line source from a deaf-people jack in the theater.
Remember the "concession stand" bit in the ORC release? From the line-in.
Also, there's no rule about TSs or TCs and credits... if they're not there, they probably chopped them off to fit on 2 CDs.

I'll repeat what everyone has been saying about this release: It's a mislabeled telesync. Nuked pretty much all over. Not that nuking makes a release invalid (remember that group TheFly with the EXCELLENT DVDSCRs that got nuked for a bitrate header problem?) but hey, rules are rules.

Damnit, I rambled again.

In conclusion, this went wide in Russia on the 27th so maybe we'll have a real TC soon.

watched this on the tv tonight...

very good quality overall, especially for such a dark movie.

video is excellent, audio is clear (few sync problems, nothing thats a big deal as they clear up quickly).

movie.. good for what it was.

nuking for a mislabeled "cam" is one thing.. (calling say a TS), but some of the nukes are just plain stupid. Especially when the quality is good, but say the bitrate was too high. My player will play just about anything, and if I have to, I'll re-encode it. Especially given the amount of junk thats been released in the past few months.

Posted by Dominus on 11-04-2005 01:14 PM:

Exclamation WHY ISN'T THIS NUKED?!?!?!

Yeah I found this release to be out of sync lots. It does correct itself, but still not proper.

V - 8.4 (Dark a but but still pretty good!)

A - 4.4 (Sorry, OOS issues drop it 5 points!)

M - 4.2 (Total Crap! A half decent director wouldn't have fucked this movie up!)

Anyways, not sure why this hasn't been nuked, It looks like everyone else had Sync issues. You put the 2nd CD in & right away the audio is out, that and it looks like it's missing a few seconds between the 1st & 2nd parts. Thanks though, just wish audio & video could be more in sync. Too many releases are like this now, and it's a shame they're not being nuked for it!

Thanks again...

Cool

GOOD QUALITY AND VIDEO AND SOUND EXCELLENT

Posted by servie_b on 11-04-2005 09:31 PM:

I only noticed just one sync issue at the beginning of CD2. I thought the picture was very clear and may yet be a TC, but is has this shiny thing in bright spots which makes me think it's a TS.
But hey, the quality is great and it's free.
