m - 7 good family flick

Bloody awful!

The only thing it has got going for it is the quick release!

V 5 cropping (but to be expected) keeps going in and out of focus, very washed out, cd2 wouldn’t work on my standalone but worked on the xbox (good old xbox) not what I would expect from cartoon/CGI flick

S 5 buzzing sound all the way through, doesn’t sound like direct audio TBH!

M 8 not as good as the first but still good had a few laughs!

Just my 2 pence worth!

Kudos for the speed of the release though!

Not CAM sound but then again obviously not DTS Back to the days of the hard of hearing jack if you ask me and these have obviously been done better before. Really noticed the framerate issues later in the film...thought it was just my eyes at first.

V-7
A-6 - buzz was really fucking annoying
M - 9 liked the film

Well I saw the xvid of this, and I was pretty happy with it, the audio at the beginning is admittedly bad drive in audio (you can hear the fm static), but it does get better (or drown out) as the movie progresses. Im not a kid so I really only enjoyed the squirrel? chasing the nut around and getting hurt. But it wasnt a bad movie, just really short 1hr 20mins? heck without the nut buisness it woulda been 50 mins or so... not quite a movie in my eyes...

8/7/6.5

i dont understand, but the second cd wont play in my standalone player (philips) when it plays vcd 2.0 no problem, but this realse second cd only wont play, also when i try to load the cue file in FireBurner it says "Error in Command Line" but nero loads it fine, does that have anything to do with the cue file? im confused why this second cd is having problems playing when i bought this standalone for playing vcds/svcds/etc... any ideas anybody?

thank you

Not bad and quite quick to release. Video is quite watchable, little blur and momentary out of focus. Audio is good, not great though. Sounds direct, maybe "FM" source. Some hiss and hum at the beginning, but not real noticeable during the movie. The movie itself was disapointing. It had it's moments, but it doesn't live up to the first one.
OK, to avoid confusion on the number rating, I'll give you "both" standards which are being used here:

#1 Overall rating (compared to DVD)
V=5
A=5
M=6

#2 As a "TS" (compared to TS...duh!)
V=8
A=7
M=6

Can you tell the difference?

Well I for one care! It won't play in any of my standalones. Me thinks it need a repak for SVCD. That's what the NFO stated, and that's what we should have. Should be Nuked for improper coding of second disk.

I downloaded both this release and the Xvid which are the same source as mentioned. Even the nfo for the Xvid thanks Prevail.

Video is blotchy in many parts, too dark in many parts focus issues in many parts. I think people voting are forgetting what animations usually look like. Madagascar was close to as clear and colourful as a screener as have been most animated films. This one is washed out and lifeless in the colour department most of the film.

Audio has the annoying hum and is very cannish sounding.

Movie was just flat out bad. Scrat was funny to watch, the rest of the movie felt like a documentary with a little action.

Played from the computer via Xbox to my WS, don't know about svcd/vcd problems.
Darken the brightness a little, looks good. Not surround sound, but sounded OK. Movie funny in parts, still better than most anything on TV.

7/7/8

i'm suprised that this wasent nuked for improper coding, its clearly a SVCD - Disc 1 and VCD - Disc 2 as the nfo states SVCD, so than why VCD for the second cd. I bet this was over looked by the nukers.....?

Hi! This is my first post, so I'll sorry in advance if my post is in the wrong thread! Can anybody tell me if an 'SVCD' image will play on a normal DVD player, or will it need to be converted?

Thanks.

5/4/5 sound is hollow and light and the movie is dark and blur
still able to watch..

Goes out off focus for a few seconds (cant remember were).

Audio static at start but goes away.

And because it is an animated film it looks bad because you cant appreciate the special effects. When the screen is almost all white (=snow) it gets very bright and hard to see what’s going on.

Quick release and watchable
