seems like there is always something to bitch and complain about.. I still think this is a solid release, but Id be interested to know from those who watched the movie both WITH and WITHOUT subs if it really made a difference ??? I did, and i didnt think so.

I didnt even notice an issue with the AR but i usually pan and scan all the movies to 4:3 anyway.

this release was just fine with the additonal subs. no need for their "proper" release even.

v - 8 - little dark in spots, and missing some subs here and there
a - 8
film - 7 - wasnt nearly as exciting as the book

Posted by mattylad on 05-30-2006 01:03 AM:

Enjoyed the film alot. Haven't read the book, to be honest didn't really even know what it was about, didn't expect much from the film but was really enjoyable.

V - 8 No problems at all, slight dark maybe but perfectly clear
A - 8 Fine through the TV, although faults did show up through headphones.
Film - 8

Watched it without subs and can't say I had any problems following the film.

i'm sure this is a dumb question, but what prog do i use to add these subs to this? i've tried a bunch of different ones and cant seem to get it right, and i KNOW this is something totally simple.. can some1 help me out? or maybe get me a fix or something?

thanks alot, i'm DYING to see this.. and i know without subs, this isn't gonna be as good as it should be..

Hey mate you just need a movie player that lets you load a sub file. I take it all of the subs posted are in .SRT format?
Anyway you need to get BsPlayer which is what I use for all movie watching on PC.
You might need to download VOBSUB too. A google search will lead you to it.
It's very simple once you get those two programs.
Good luck!
[not rating the movie as I ain't got it yet!]
